4 times petrol purchase is not in anyway illegal and can be pretty norm, especially for person with more than 1 vehicle etc. Unless you had specifically informed the bank concerned regarding your own unique circumstances, they cannot be held legally liable. Each and every case has its own merit, so unless your circumstances is the same, cannot just take here and there and assume the same outcome  smile.gif

4 petrol purchases within 3 hours is a norm? Tell me who does that? What are the odds? They rely on your pattens. If you consistently pump 4 times in a short period, then probably after a few times, the system will register as a norm but if you had not done that since like ever before and 4 transaction within 3 hours, there gotta be something wrong.

Even when I pumped 2 times within 15 minutes, the system already trigger Public Bank to call me.

Don't forget to mention that 3 times was in the same station (I am guessing within the a very close period of time of within a few mins).

This highlights a gap or flaw in OCBC's fraud detection (or lack of).

SSL cert looks OK but may mean the OCBC servers may have been compromised and not just diverted. Best to refrain from logging in. Can't even call in

Pls understand, when you are talking legal terms, it is not illegal and unless such is mentioned in your T&C of your card agreement, it is subjective and hard to prove either way. And contrary to your assertion, it is a norm for me to pump 3 times petrol within an hour since I own a few cars and pump them in batch tongue.gif

Most probably is the spend rebate bonus program in Sept, I posted the details back in Sept (the urls probably all dead by now)

More "invite-only" promotion

http://www.ocbccards.com.my/m/  - Spend 500 get 50
http://www.ocbccards.com.my/e/  - Spend 800 get 80
http://www.ocbccards.com.my/t/    - Spend 1500 get 150
http://www.ocbccards.com.my/z/  - Spend 3000 get 300
http://www.ocbccards.com.my/w/  - Spend 5000 get 500    sweat.gif
http://www.ocbccards.com.my/k/  - Spend 8000 get 800  ohmy.gif
http://www.ocbccards.com.my/u/  - Spend 10000 get 1000  shocking.gif  rclxub.gif

Do note its invite-only, you only qualify if you got the SMS invite from OCBC specifically stating which offer.
