QUOTE(bomberman @ Apr 13 2011, 01:57 PM) I don't know much about calibration but how do you define "best"? Your environment is different from others. Their best setting not necessary your best setting. Recommend you to engage anfieldude to do calibration, if can. This post has been edited by low98944: Apr 13 2011, 02:18 PM |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Apr 13 2011, 08:25 AM) perky, OTA as in FTA stuff? Yes mostly 50hz stuff. What settings do u use on urs? How about on blu ray playback? Do u turn off 24p smoothing?Do u see the motion issues with OTA stuff? 50Hz material only I suppose? If yes, its a known issue. U need to get ur settings right to minimize it. I would suggest turning on IFC to minimum, the motion issues will reduce, but u will get other artefacts. U need to select the lesser of 2 evils. |

Yeah, its a known problem with 50Hz stuff. I do not own the display but hv calibrated quite a few. 24p smoothing shd be off for proper reproduction of 24p stuff without pulldown. |

QUOTE(yangkwok @ Apr 15 2011, 08:30 AM) Not sure if this model still available as I was told Panasonic stop distributing since this is 2010 model. I guess they are keen to launch 2011 models.you may want to check with iamsobloodysick. He may give you good deal with other Panasonic model. Speaking from experience, Since This hard to find, I've got good offer for P50VT20 and took it right away. else you may want to wait for 2011 models..... |

Asking cause was offered a display unit cheap but I assume that it was not be run in properly... think it's better not to buy a plasma display unit as it's most probably had been playing a static image over and over on the shelf. |

Check this out from The Star.
QUOTE PETALING JAYA: Panasonic Malaysia is offering a cloud-based Internet service called Viera Connect in six of its new flat-panel Viera TV models. The new plasma models are TH-P65VT30K, TH-P50VT30K, TH-P55ST30K and TH-P50ST30K. The screen sizes of the models range from 42in to 65in. The new LED LCD models are TH-L37DT30K and TH-L42E30K. The TH-L37DT30K is a 37in model that offers 3D full HD LED technology while the TH-L42E30K is a 42in model that offers full HD LED technology. The Viera Connect service allows users to enjoy news content, social networking, health and fitness activities, games, and a variety of other applications in addition to the standard movie and television programmes. TH-L42E30K There are also plans to introduce more applications that deliver local news and sports content to Viera Connect in the future, the company said. Panasonic said Viera Connect is a major step up from the recently introduced Viera Cast, which allows Viera TV owners to utilise web applications such as Skype and YouTube on its Viera TVs. Viera Connect will also allow users to control their compatible Viera TVs from their iPhone or iPad devices via the Viera remote application. Some of the Viera Connect services available include YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Skype. The TH-L37DT30K and TH-L42E30K retails at RM4,999 and RM3,699 respectively. The pricing for the plasma models was not available at press time. source: http://techcentral.my/news/story.aspx?file...934&sec=it_news |

The new 50U30K comes with a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The previous 50V20K is 5,000,000:1. Do u all think it's a significance difference?

QUOTE(yangkwok @ Apr 15 2011, 08:30 AM) Hmm I just bought it at 6.6k+ at perfect living show at PWtc. Comes with 3D bluray player, 2 glasses and 3 bluray disc. If u can't find, I'm thinking of selling mine slightly cheaper. The size is too small for me.. Thinking of 65in version or 92in projector. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Apr 18 2011, 11:12 PM |
