Therefore, if a person like vivid (less natural color), that's his business. For me, I learn toward more natural color or whatever color I like (and that's why I am not thinking of calibration for now)
*
Love your statement and I am a non believer of TV calibration and stick to default options to ensure warranty.

Irrespective of color, a good storyline, directing and acting are core essentials of a good movie and trust a FHD Panasonic Plasma of 2010 generations (and beyond) should do a good job in displaying FHD qualities.
No fuss on those so call best / infinite Black Level as many of us do not watch TV with lights switch off (or in a dark room) to avoid eyes fatigue; do understand young people love this habit (not referring to those on projector).

Can you ask them to remove all those freebies like 3D glasses, 3D Bluray etc? If you do, the price differences will be even less.
*
Actually i did not opt any 3D stuffs as I purchase 50VT20 with Panasonic HT System. when they arrived i was suprised that the TV itself come together with 1free 3D glasses smile.gif

may plan to by 3D player in future but not that soon smile.gif

If that's the case then RM6.5k is a very good deal right? With that RM1.5k extra u get a Bluray player, and 3D function. Somemore you said the picture quality is better than V20K.
*
Bro you may be right but then you will need to listen sound from TV.. maybe it's me alone but i opt for HT system...basically your choise smile.gif

Added on April 8, 2011, 4:02 amfor those who plan to buy 50VT20, i suggest you read below article for beginers

http://munchoong.livejournal.com/232257.html

I had trouble figuring out how to slow down the motion as it looks everything running super fast. only once I disable Intelligence Frame Creation option, I notice difference and prefer this mode turn off..

Depend on budget... i was told VT20 imported from japan and the quality is better. Since this is my first Panasonic plasma tv, took extended warranty.

Guys,

I just purchased a brand new L42U29K from carrefour. But when I check the on duration and turn on count, it just disappointed me. It read 2431 and count 334. Is it suppose to be like this? Or should i return back the unit to Carefour? Any idea on how i should deal with this?

Did Carrefour offer it at a much cheaper price than market and upfront tell you that it's a used unit? If not, then I think you should return it.

It's slightly cheaper but not that much. I heard it's about RM2,000+ elsewhere. Anyway, your set with 2,400+ hours is close to probably one year usage. Definitely, you should return it and get a new unit.

At 2000+ hours, tell them it should be sold at 1/2 price. Either they sell you at that price or you write to newspaper saying you are sold used goods as brand new. A win-win situation.
