Yes I got quoted by a shop in Cheras for 4.7k. Comes with standard 2-year warranty, but no other freebies. Good deal?Panasonic Viera TV Fan Club V.2, Plasma, LCD & LED models.

QUOTE(Jack28HT @ Mar 9 2011, 06:08 PM) Yes, it is a good deal. Can I know which shop in Cheras? The Chinese shop in Tmn Connaught facing the highway. I got mine at RM4899 in end Jan with interest free installment from Best. It sure looks like price is trickling down as well for 50V20 anticipating new models, I guess.. Yea that's what holding me back, afraid that it will drop again dramatically once the 2011 lineup is out |

QUOTE(Jack28HT @ Mar 9 2011, 09:37 PM) It's a bit strange that seems like Panasonic Singapore is still making 50V20's. This is because the unit I bought is actually labeled manufactured "Jan2011" and I also saw many new stocks coming in during that time. This could mean that there is still quite good profit in this model.. Anyway, you can wait if you want but you will not know when to stop waiting because you may be attracted to the new lineup when it's out in the market later. My advice is that you just buy and start enjoying it now .. believe you know what I mean.. Yea I know exactly what u mean. When it comes to new tech, it can be never-ending chase/wait. But thank God the price goes under 5k already, otherwise my HM sure won't give approval. Sorry yah, not very familiar with Cheras area. This post has been edited by tankiasu: Mar 10 2011, 12:42 AM |

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Apr 3 2011, 04:32 AM) there's a clearance sale for the outgoing V series at this weekend's Perfect Living at PWTC. The 50in VT20 is going for RM6699 with 2 3d glasses, 3d bluray player and 3x 3d bluray movies. For lower end series the 50U30k is going for RM3999. Might as well buy from outside shops then. The 50VT is now selling for RM6.5k and the 50U is selling for RM3.5k. |

QUOTE(PoorMan @ Apr 3 2011, 10:45 AM) Your 50U is 20K (2010 version) and not 30K. Yea it's 50U20K, coz DannyOp is referring to the older range mah.Edit: It seems like Panny Malaysia is pushing the entry level 2D and 3D. This probably reflects on the HD content maturity in Asia at the moment. Well, as long as the price is still fair and in line with entry level, there's not much to dwell on. Added on April 4, 2011, 9:39 am QUOTE(DannyOP @ Apr 3 2011, 10:22 AM) Go to those Panasonic authorized dealers. I found two in Klang and another one in Cheras that offered me those prices. This post has been edited by tankiasu: Apr 4 2011, 09:39 AM |

QUOTE(PoorMan @ Apr 4 2011, 09:51 AM) Yea I did noticed he typed 50U30K but I'm also aware that he was referring to the Panasonic booth at Perfect Livin. So I believe he was actually talking about the clearance of the outgoing models, not the new 2011 U series.Added on April 4, 2011, 12:14 pmWhen do u all think we'll be able to see those new 2011 models at Panasonic shops ya? Can't wait to check them out and see whether they are worth buying or not. Slurp! This post has been edited by tankiasu: Apr 4 2011, 12:14 PM |

QUOTE(tsgold @ Apr 4 2011, 12:24 PM) After months of research and reading V1 and V2 threads, I almost given up looking for Panasonic Plasma since P50V20K out of stocks... until Joseph made an offer of TH-P50VT20K together with HT System (without 3D player and specs), i just took it right away How's the quality of this VT20 as compared to the V20? I was looking for V20 too, but now considering VT20 instead since can get bug discount.I recomend serious buyers to contact iamsobloodysick (Joseph) if you are interested with Panasonic Plasma as he can workaround with your budget... now.. enjoying everybit and learning VT20 features.... |

QUOTE(Riddhy @ Apr 5 2011, 02:29 PM) No 50V20K is a 2D model. The 3D model is 50VT20K.For RM2.5k I would recommend you to go for TH-P42V20K. I think it should be about RM2.3k now since they are clearing all 2010 models. |

QUOTE(tsgold @ Apr 5 2011, 05:17 PM) i find the VT quality better to V series. I was able to witness smooth difference between V and VT series when they played some move samples. If that's the case then RM6.5k is a very good deal right? With that RM1.5k extra u get a Bluray player, and 3D function. Somemore you said the picture quality is better than V20K. |

The new 50U30K comes with a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The previous 50V20K is 5,000,000:1. Do u all think it's a significance difference?

I just bought the 50VT20K from Homedec too! The Panasonic booth there is actually by their dealer Hoe Huat Electrical. It comes with the full 3D package. I also paid for the Purchase-With-Purchase which includes an extra 3D glass and video camera for Skype. Decided not to buy the Netgear wifi dongle from them.
Oh also paid additional RM900 for extra 3 years warranty. |
