QUOTE(anfieldude @ Apr 1 2011, 03:18 PM) vincent, The true cinema mode has the most accurate colours. The greyscale however is not perfect. Nor is it in any mode. Its most accurate in true cinema mode. To correct the yellowish tint u would need to go into the service menu and adjust white balance to further improve. Dynamic mode has a colour temperature of about 10K. This means that the whites are really blue tinted. Cinema (Warm) is close to 6500K, TrueCinema is closest to 6500K BTW, the 60s was known for green tinted. The True Cinema shd not send the colour to the sixties era as its the most accurate. Anything else has a wide gamut colour that is really not close to reference. Sharpness is a mix bag. If u view only HD material, I would suggest anywhere from 0 - 20. If u watch a lot of SD stuff, then u would need to bump up the sharpness to above 30 - 50. There is reference and there is preference. My comment was that if u want to bring ur display close to reference use TrueCinema, if u do not like it, its ur display, u can select whatever u feel u like. According to the selection there is only cinema, thx, game, photo, dynamic, normal... what is trucinema?

I noticed that there is a buzzing sound whenever I switch sources or before a movie is played.. is it due to hdmi or sound interfearance? Very annoying sound especially from a supposedly good model.
I also noticed this noise in my LG plasma and have to switch off the tv speakers to eliminate the buzz. However I can't find any off switch for the Panasonic. If I put mute.. the sound is still there. Any ideas how to solve this or is it a problem with the plasma? Btw its brand new out of the box and not a display set. It's the 50in Vt20 series model.
Besides this, the recommended option for picture is THX but the overall seems yellowish compared to other options. Wondering why thx uses white that is yellowish? How to further fine-tune it?

Im using my notebook for media player so maybe the intensity is too high..nevertheless I only set it to cinema mode. I will be transferring a dedicated sigma media player to the room so hopefully this will be eliminated. It doesnt buzz when I use the bundled 3d bluray player. Hope to see u when u come to KL Can't wait to view the screen when it is optimised. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Apr 12 2011, 10:20 AM

QUOTE(yangkwok @ Apr 15 2011, 08:30 AM) I am also interested with this model. Appreciate someone can also share the latest price... Thanks. Hmm I just bought it at 6.6k+ at perfect living show at PWtc. Comes with 3D bluray player, 2 glasses and 3 bluray disc. If u can't find, I'm thinking of selling mine slightly cheaper. The size is too small for me.. Thinking of 65in version or 92in projector. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Apr 18 2011, 11:12 PM

QUOTE(tankiasu @ May 28 2011, 11:14 PM) No ah, I saw it selling at RM15999 few weeks ago. Above 10k for Plasma one must seriously consider AE4000 for Panasonic fans.. size matters

QUOTE(sunnyK @ May 31 2011, 11:21 AM) my dream of owning a panny 65'' display ended with the hike in electricity rate. The difference is negligible even if you watch 24 hours a day.
