I am a fresh grad, wondering what is the current market value for working in an advertising company today.

Field: Advertising
Job Title: Marketing Executive
Education Level: Degree
(BA) Communication and Media Management.

I am working as intern for almost 2 months so pretty much know the systems.

Please share your insight how much is the basic salary I will get. thanks

Salary is subjective. You can be working more years but if you're not a competent worker you would not be paid as well you hope for. On the other hand if you're intelligent and competent your salary can rise exponentially within a short period.

It also boils down to how contented you are, some people are contented with their jobs and don't mind getting paid less.

salary : RM 1.7k basic + rm150 fixed allowance + night duty allowance, around 2.3-2.5k in total per month.

Can work as someone who can go prison on behalf of some gangster king, they will pay u every month during your days in prison and u no need work also can get income..... ...treat it as a joke....

another private clinical lab only offer 1.5k starting pay. no staff benefit at all.
yours consider ok. since fresh get 2.5k. quite standard

Guys.currently I am doing section head of engineer with RM3.2k.I want to ask if next time I jump,my salary can up to 4.5 to 5 k?

Added on July 28, 2011, 7:59 amI was in fact graduated from Uni in 2009, after that i worked as an admin officer at a security firm, and they offered me 2k salary with company car and accommodation. i left after half a year and join a clinical lab. they offered me 1.6k, a serious pullback but i was encouraged by family to work at the sector that i can perform, and for some better prospect. 6 months later, i got an invitation from my uni coursemate that his workplace (hospital lab) was hiring, i tried my luck and got the offer. i switched immediately and this is where i'm working at now. 2 month later i'll be reviewed by my boss for a not-so-attractive increment (probably less than a hundred according to my seniors). Now I'm seriously doubt if i'd made the right decision 2 yrs back. I somehow see my future's dim if i stick to lab job. 2.3k pay after 2 yrs graduation is certainly shameful. any comment or positive advise i may get from you guys? i'm so disappointed to the current situation of bio-related job in malaysia.
