Is it normal for me to ask for 2.8k for my upcoming interviews? I have 1 year working experience, degree holder, applying for Junior Art Director.

Permanent or contract these days doesn't matter. You don't need all those benefits also. For me I rather take cash then getting benefits.

I've been contractor for most of my working life.

Only thing is taking loan with bank a little hard. But you can always ask your agency/ employee to write you a letter for loan application.

What kind of helpdesk? Is it IT?

If IT helpdesk then see which level of support. Level 1, 2 or 3.

For level 1 I'm thinking 3k to 4k, level 2 4k to 5k, and level 3 5k and above.

Usually they'll give you basic engineer salary + team lead allowance which variable. If shift, weekends, and public holidays work involved then you'll get extra allowance.

IT helpdesk can get so much salary for level 1?

Do you mean your colleagues? If so than your salary is good compared to your fellow colleagues.

Job Title : Helpdesk Consultant
Job Desciption : helpdesk.
Years spent in company : non yet
Company : Ricoh
Industry : Printers/IT.
Tenure : 6 months probation (for now)
Employment Level : uncertain
Experience before joining : non, freshgrad.
salary : RM2.3k

Hi guys, just want to get some insight in regards to what is the average pay for fresh grads with a major in business IT.

To clarify:
I'm still undergoing my studies ( degree in Business IT ),
because I major in Business IT, programming is not really my forte so I feel more comfortable doing consultancy or analyst jobs.
I was recently called in by Ricoh for a job interview ( reminder, I'm still studying ), so I'm only gonna start working in September, with a pay of RM2.3k.

The other day another company called up but I told them I got this job already, and they asked me my salary n they told me RM2.3k is low, and that I can still change my mind n work with them as a Business Analyst.

Is this true? That RM2.3k is low for a degree graduate?

*I took the job at Ricoh because they told me that there would be a lot of space for growth (i.e., I still can learn while working, going for courses, learning more things), and besides that, this job does not require programming, and I find I can utilize my strengths in this job (communication skills, troubleshooting skills).

Could someone gimme some feedback please? Thanks in advance! smile.gif

Your future company HR so nice even told your pay is low (actually not low just normal), so how much they going to pay you? > 3k?

Just go for Business Analyst (BA) job if you like these kind of job, as for me althought i'm certified BA (but not qualified tongue.gif ), i prefer to be System Analyst
Because i like technical/programming more

Hello tq for ur feedback.

I'm not really sure how much they're gonna pay because when I asked, they said "go for the interview and you'll know". shocking.gif
But what really shocked me was when they commented that RM2.3k is low, that's why just wanted to know.

But thanks for your advice n feedback! icon_rolleyes.gif
