Employment Level : junior
Experience before joining : none
salary : 2.5 k before confirm, after confirm 2.8k
benefit : To be honestly, quite kiamsiap..OT also manager say better dun claim..zzz..Only got basic insurance, medical. Other pay ownself.

Job Description: Evaluating and selecting best plant configuration, operation and maintenance plant modelling, Capex and Opex estimation etc
Years Spent: 3 years
Industry: Utilities
Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering
Tenure:Permanent
salary basic: 4.3 K + 6 Month Bonus (average each year)
benefit: medical,phone allowance,umrah passage,graituity,0.90/km

FYI, i just got promoted after 3 years working as a junior engineer.

Please comment, is it below market price?

started at 2.6K,1st year 2.9K,2nd year got increment and adjustment to 3.5K
now promoted.. got 4.3K.. dat one only basic.. the company also offer other allowances..

for Sr Engineer level.. i don't really now the current market salary. Mind sharing?

Im in IT, not from EE.

My salary quite similar with u but only 1st job got 2 months bonus, others no bonus.
Salary from:
Year 1 - 2.2k
Year 2 - 2.8k
Year 3 - 3.3k -> 3.8k
Year 4 - 5k

when i asked why im not promoted if my performance is best in our the team (my section got 3 teams), my leader said that im not unique..since when promotion is based on uniqueness instead of KPI ? rclxub.gif

example given is that i'm not doing EXTRA job besides tasks given to me. my leader give example on promoted people from other team but they ALL also did task given by their leader/manager. besides, their promotion is for different level. i think EXTRA job must be 'tolong kipas/aircond' the leader/manager ...

im looking for another ship now...juz try to get idea what could be the salary range in today's market after 4+ year in current post (software testing)...any comment on this? hmm.gif

Recently got 2 offer that confusing my mind.

Age : 26
Year of Exp : 3 years
Education : Engineering Degree + MBA (on going)

Option 1
Company : Europe MNC
Industry : General
Title : Business Development Exe
Salary : RM4100 (basic) + RM1000 (allowance) + RM0.50 (mileage claim) + 13 month salary +
performance bonus 0 (min) - 4.5 months (max)

Option 2
Company : Europe MNC
Industry : General
Title : Sales Exe
Salary : RM6000 (basic) + RM600 (allowance) + RM750 (petrol claim) +
performance bonus 0 (min) - 4 months (max)

Option 1 or Option 2 better?

Option 1 is based in Malaysia HQ with colleagues and proper supervision from Top Management.
Option 2 is based in sales office (1 man show) with no colleague, phone supervision from General Manager (business unit) & fly to
Sg for sales training and meeting every 1 - 2 month.

If what I am concern is future career progression, which 1 should i choose?

Salary with be 2nd factor at time being but 1st factor for soon or later.
