Just wonder, how many companies you had work for? 1 year 1 company?

No, different field requires different needs. Like my company, we don't favour job hopper. What's the point of hiring someone when you know you can keep him/her for only one year? Waste resources.

Some industries are alright with job hopper but not all.

So, it is not all about old fashioned culture or anything. It is about the requirement from the company.

I'm a HR practitioner from a MNC, we are not a conservative company but when it comes to recruitment, job hoppers are not the one we are looking for. There are candidates who successfully made into our company though they change company very often of course with very valid reasons (i.e. restructuring, previous company ramped down and etc.).

Workload is quite heavy sometimes with one day working until 10pm and every saturday we work half and normal alternately. I am a hard worker and usually don't mind the work time/load but recently my manager keep pushing us to complete work quicker (while not considering how hard/time consuming the project is) and I start to feel burnt from working.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm underpaid or good enough but I'm thinking to explore new job opportunities in Peninsular. Recently I have been interviewing with some bank IT dept in Peninsular. What do you guys think?

Hi guys, I am fresh graduate and accept the position as junior programmer. They offer me 2K. Am I underpaid for degree student ? .May I know the salary range for the fresh graduate in the market rate ?

Lolz, I think you are right too. I think o&g company, MNC and oversea  companies do offer as high as RM3k and more for fresh grad.

Maybe, I was just frustrated with not getting jobs after so many interview that I forgot those facts. Thanks 4 correcting.

But correct me if i'm wrong, a RM3k job will need more of your time and effort compare to others? Or it is just something big companies do because they can?

I think this depends on qualifications and experiences. A 24 years old degree holder is no more different than 22 years old degree holder.
Whereas, a 24 years old man is different than 22 years old degree holder.

just out of curiousity, for all those in IT field, how long did it take for you to get out of 2k zone?

means salary RM2000 -> RM2999 (basic only)

asking this because a lot of housing agent advise me "with your salary cant get the loan. bank see basic only as commission is not stable"

5k after 2 years is extremely hard. 4k is still possible.

if you think your programming skillset is quite expert now then you can look for elsewhere and demand 20-30% higher of your current paid.

My technical skill quite okie due of involvement with lot of enhancement/customization from none to somthing.

Truely, although this company can allow you to learn everything from fixing to enhancement into customization.

But if continuely grow within this company, I cant barely save little money given.
Sure one thing, every guy need to built own family, great blow to me if I planning to get wedding with this salary. Currently 27 years old. If work for 5 years, I only expected get RM200, mean if current I have RM2900.

1 years experience = RM2500
2 years experience = RM2800
3 years experience = RM2900++
5 years experience = RM3200++
Keep in mind, company if got profit, sure dont mind to invest more their employee.
As situation now, that company always earn enough ngam-ngam.

Kinda dilemma. I expected to have good news from company. Anyhow end up with sad news, given accumulated RM100.
