If I'm not mistaken. /dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.telephony

There is one db called mmssms.db Can use Root Explorer internal viewer to view the db.

1.my 3 button is not working..
2. how to upgrade to 2.2.1 (my kies is not working)
3. do i need to root/flash my sgs to get the 2.2.1

The answer u need is located on 2nd post of this thread.

You mean the 3 buttons to go to download / recovery mode ??? If so, just your bacd luck ( like me previously ) it is reported on the web 33 % of the early batches of SGS produced has this problem.
I raised this issue at Samsung Official Service centre in Singapore - the reply given to me was this function is meant for inhouse developer's use NOT for the general public user. We are not supposed to go to download mode and flash roms. Anyway they told me I cannot replace my set but will do any rom reflash for free if get stuck again if I tried flashing new roms and got bricked. They were true to their words, I kena brick after that 2 more times and reflash done free

yup..the 3buttons recovery mode..does it appear that when u press, it wil show only the S sign??n how u flashed ur roms?

i was in similar situation, i applied a fix to re-enabling 3e(download mode and recovery mode), but mind you, there's a risk of bricking your phone, don't really mean to scare you or something

did u manage to apply the fix??does it work??im so sick of my phone being lagged n need to unlock n root it..

yup, mine works, i would say i'm lucky cause i see some ppl report fail cases when they attempt that fix

To post picture, while you are at the thread reply page, look for the Browse button at the bottom. Click on it and select the file you want to add. Then click on the Add This Attachment button.

The fix mentioned by darude will work. I got it brick the last 2 times because i experimented with other solutions

it'd be like iphone4 and iphone3gs. there'll be people wanting the previous gen phone for budget reason.

But for me, I don't see sgs2 to be a significant update. I'll be staying with this phone with the promise of cyanogenmod!

Some of the main improvement of SGS2 which I like are:

1) 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash
2) Front camera is 2 Megapixel.
3) 1 Gig Internal RAM
4) Matt back cover casing (will not be a fingerprint magnet I think).
5) Not sure if it is 1080p HD recording?
6) Bigger capacity 1650mah battery.

what i like is the SUPERAMOLED+, dual core and design!
