QUOTE(erymanthus @ Jan 31 2011, 12:41 PM) Hi guys, I'm currently on Doc's XWJS3. Found that the Gallery bug is still there. I managed to delete the Gallery3D.apk. But when I want to reinstall Gallery 3D from the Market, I couldn't find it in the Market. How ah? Where can I find the Gallery 3D app again...sigh... Thanks Use SGS Tool to download the Gallery. Alternatively, u can use this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653503

QUOTE(Fornaxlife @ Feb 8 2011, 02:48 PM) neutral more yellowish and bright, warm is not as bright as the neutral and has a nicer colour contrast (best to view warm in minimum brightness). no idea bout cold versionĀ Does the "neutral" setting is default setting / manufacturer default? Coz it did not make any difference compare with "no color adjustment kernel". My neutral is still a bit blueish. Now using Warm, whiter than neutral. Never knew DHD has a flaw.
Anyway, HTC Desire (not the HD one) also have one flaw. The touch screen can only detect two fingers and it will miss registered the touch points if these two fingers cross each other. Example, if one fingers touching the left part of the screen, the screen registered it on the right by following the other finger.
One of the reasons I ditched Desire for SGS after two months.

QUOTE(CrossX @ Feb 13 2011, 11:24 PM) DHD flaws arent too great, but its still flaws... and to me the annoyance is far greater than SGS... XD i cant believe u cant view what u record in 720p or should i say its not capable of viewing it... (i had been dwelling at this for weeks now XD) oh not to mention GPS has problems too... u cant cover the top of the DHD, it will not receive any GPS signal that way, i had a casing on and i tot there's a problem and after a few days i took out the casing and it locked just fine but not fast anyways XD Do you think because of the software restrictions / development capabilities or because of Qualcomm which makes me think of SGS2. How is the performance when rumors (has it been confirmed?) said it will be equipped with Qualcomm.

QUOTE(Crossover @ Feb 14 2011, 06:00 PM) That work! Suggest TS to include this onto the 2nd post. After which, what shall i do to fine tune the gps? set the accuracy? Nothing much can do on the settings. However, some users do experience better GPS. Your mileage maybe vary. Only the second and third settings. The best mod is still the antenna modification but I've not done it yet coz my GPS accuracy is spot on and start time is less than 2 minutes at most. This article may help you a bit. QUOTE(darude87 @ Feb 16 2011, 12:02 PM) if i were to update to DXJPE from my current DXJPA, if i'm not mistaken i would need to flash my kernal back to stock kernal before i update via Kies right? and if i flash my kernal back to stock kernal from speedmod, is there any file loss or anything will happen to my current data? Do not forget to disable the lagfix first if activated. If you're using Kies, it is advisable to flash stock kernel. If using ODIN, does not matter if you tick repartition. QUOTE(janov @ Feb 16 2011, 04:23 PM) hi fellow sgs users, havent posted in a long time but i still follow this thread, moving quite slow recently maybe it will pick up again after ginger bread is released. anyway, i've been using stock video player to play most of my video files but it seem to have problems with flv files. out of 10 files only 1 could be played the rest is "unsupported". i've also previously had problems with some avi files, i copied a whole bunch of files into the phone hoping to watch them during my vacation and all of them cant be read. so frustrating. for those avi files, to make it readable i have to convert them to wmv which takes like forever just for one file to be converted. anyone faced this problem before. any recommendation for a good video player from the market? FLV and AVI is just a file container. Need to check on what kind of video and audio codec used in the container. You need transcoding application or maybe VLC can check those codec. So far my alternative player would be Rock Player if the stock can't play certain file.

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Feb 16 2011, 10:43 PM) Got a quick one to ask, does the latest Speedmod kernel includes Voodoo's sound fix? If not, can I flash Speedmod, enable tweaks and lagfix to ext4, then flash with Supercurio's Voodoo kernel? Will the tweak settings be retained and I can get my sound fix? Was recording lion dance in my office today, well, the result you all would have expected. The sound was badly broken due to the over gain by the default settings of the phone. It does and you just need to download Voodoo App from market.

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Feb 17 2011, 12:41 AM) Slowpoke but this review is quite eye opening for us. http://www.anandtech.com/show/4179/ti-omap...timus-3d-testedSame GPU, I wonder if we could upgrade our GPU drivers... Probably we can get that kinda performance too. According to the write up. Samsung Orion is no longer coupled with PowerVR SGX, it use own ARM Mali GPU. This year SoC makers are having different GPU in their chipset. This post has been edited by Bugeca: Feb 17 2011, 10:50 AM

QUOTE(Narako @ Feb 17 2011, 10:36 PM) Expansys price is a bit on high side. It may be cheaper. Anyway, if Samsung stick with that figure, I'm not sure how are they gonna sell it in Malaysia. There is a lot of choices and majority will buy Iphong for that price. QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Feb 17 2011, 10:38 PM) Looks like Optimus 3D is the best value for money at the moment. The only setback is the screen type and the RAM. Other features are minor. Not sure when will Atrix reach Malaysia shore, will put that into consideration if the price is good and the bootloader is easier to unlock. Next... wait for HTC looo.... Haitzzz when will Qualcomm start supplying the dual core to HTC or Apple already bought this year stock hhahahah This post has been edited by Bugeca: Feb 17 2011, 10:49 PM

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Feb 17 2011, 10:57 PM) I think SGS 2 will be priced the same as SGS when it was first launched....most likely Maxis will have the exclusive rights for the first few months...again If they price too high, they can't compete with the rest... BTW, I flashed to MIUI for a few minutes and now back to Doc's ROM XWJS5 For a few minutes, what happened... did not suit your needs? It kinda look like appleish UI.

QUOTE(nasrulbond @ Feb 20 2011, 01:45 AM) yep. so sad. huhu, i wonder how the gps performance in desire, nexus one or nexus s. is it better than our gps? I have Wildfire and Desire, the GPS locking time is same as SGS. The only different, they are more accurate (i.e. no jumping position) and good in locking the satellites (no losing signal). Indoor just a few feet better than SGS if you start trying the GPS from the windows.
