I was upgrade my firmware through kies and its stuck right now at downloading(fone display)

So wat i should do right now??I didnt move the cable and the kies cant detect the phone.

You can reconnect and upgrade again

btw which one is better, ipad or samsung galaxy tab? dunno much about the comparison tho

android honeycomb = proper tablet OS

But it really boils down to what your needs.

Lol, I'd take iPad anytime. Galaxy tab is so yesteryear and android 2.2 sucks on tablet form. Honeycomb I've seen so far, has been laggy/not as smooth as expected on Xoom and Galaxy 10.1.

This year, iPad2 or Playbook for me.

1. Why is it when i dload app from samsung apps its not shown on my phone?

I dload the BUILD YOUR TRAVEL app. It appear inside myfiles. But cannot find in the app section.

2. Any recommended app for managing travel plan?

3. How to check the paid app in android market? I've read b4 in this thread. But cant find it as to many pages & thread already. Lol

i've been having this problem quite sometime.. do you guys have all the apps you DLed from Market shown under "Downloaded"? for me, some were missing such as GTunes, WhatsApp, SoundHound and etc etc, in order to update the app, i need to browse exactly to the App in order to find out wether there's an update or not. Anyone facing this issue? or I am the only one?

The AF is done automatically as you move closer to your object or vice versa.

SGS was introduced June/July 2010.. less than 8 months the little brother SGS2 is born.. goes to show that there's no point "waiting" for the next thing. good thing we all got our SGS when we wanted.

Agree 100% there. I was in the Apple section of LYN and stated in one of the threads that I had 400+ apps on my iPad. Straight away my post was deleted and I received a warning PM from the mod about discussing warez. No one even asked me first if those 400+ apps are proper paid apps or pirated apps. Knee-jerk reaction, no? So now I just read the posts there but am no longer interested to contribute.

File transfer without iTunes is do-able only if you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad (keyword : openssh).

Youtube lags on the SGS? Really? I'm on Digi and apart from a bit of waiting time when first loading a video, playback is smooth to me. Slightly jerkier when viewed in the web browser (I'm using Miren) but very convenient. Playback is crappy on the iPad, but I think it's because of Maxis (I have a maxis broadband sim in my iPad).

BTW, this if off-topic - wanna ask you, is there anything that needs to be set in iOS to enable youtube client to auto pickup and play a video from a web link in Safari? This is not happening for me.. (try http://sugoideas.com)

The Problem is European ROM mean we can't install the Samsung Apps for Asia region like Mini Diaries and write and go. And also the I couldn't find the latest Diopen IME and I like the Samsung Theme and the bootanime...
Which I couldn't do anything about it as I'm with Darky ROM.

And that's why I ask ppl favor to extract bootanime and the way to extract diopen IME and till now, nobody knows how to do it.

You mean 'build your trip'? It's a widget, so you won't be able to see it in your appdrawer. Use marketenabler to view paid apps. Your phone needs to be rooted for this.
Having this prob also lately. Annoyed with this lol.

diopen i installed on my own

u can cook a doc's rom with ori samsung bootanimation and extract it and put into darky if u want...
as for the theme i'm not sure how to port it to another rom

I have the same thinking as you. I don't bother ppl saying apps launcher or proper OS (as good as to be heard)
Google never does its job properly in writing the code for its Android System (that could be the reason they stop selling Nexus as they really don't know how to handle it). I have read in the web before. Some developers complaining that they lauched the Android system (froyo) with a lots of bugs.
They leave the fixing part to the developer or the manufacturer software engineers to fix the problems, in which I think Samsung Engineers are a bit slow poke!
Yes, I must admit that Google has a lot of fresh ideas with they OS. But what's the point if the ideas are full of bugs and laggy. I don't know about others, but I will definitely feel upset.
No point boosting about Android is an OS by itself and can do this can do that...blah blah blah, and in the end of the day, it give me headache with lag issue.
The success of iphone 4 is not just merely they are able to make the phone the TREND as I don't see SGS lose out in the sleeky and trendy design/ outlook of their phone. In fact, there are more. Even iphone 4 is an apps launcher, but the silky smooth of the apps running(even with very low available memory) as well as the quality of them (apps) is just astonishing!
For android supporters, please don't get too upset with my post here. I just wanna share my thought here only. I'm still holding an SGS, ok?
As an Android user, I really hope Google would have done better. If they happen to make their own phone and start selling again. I definitely won't buy. The company is a bit unreliable for mobile phone business. Let them do their software part well.
