Does anyone knows what is the expected second hand price for a two years old Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8?

The lens is in mint condition, it is protected with the filter since day 1, but there's one small white mark on the lens's front element (It's on the rim of the lens, it doesn't seem to affect the image quality, I am not sure if it's removable or not)

I saw 1 on garage sale for RM 3300.

3.3k seems to be the price for a bad condition 17-55 nikkor to me. A good condition one probably go around 3.8k-4k. smile.gif

How's the focussing speed of sigma 50mm compared to Nikkor's G?? That day I tested the G and then the D, wow..... the G is soooo slow compared to D!! it is omg slow if comparing side by side..... wonder how's Sigma

Juz wondering if u have a Sigma 50mm, will u still use 35mm 1.8? lol..... I thought of keeping for group photo indoor, lol.... am I crazy

G is slower than Sigma, thats for sure

QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Jan 25 2011, 10:24 AM)
IDK why I love the look of 50mm 1.8 doh.gif
I think even tough later I have 50mm 1.4 sigma or 50mm 1.2 Nikkor (If later they publish) I still want to get that legendary 50mm 1.8 Nikkor.

Sadly no AF motor on my body. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

24-70 and 28-70 are different. Hope you don't mix both up yea? Besides that thread has been in GS for quite some time.

the usual with most, if not all, lens updates: sharper, better CA control, AF-S, gelded, less vignette, more contrast (nano coat).

doesn't mean the old one wasn't any good; it's just that updates are usually better in many ways smile.gif

If you're talking about Nikkor lens, the 2470 is the newer lens. Comes with speedy AF-S and also the nanocoat. The 28-70 on the other hand is an old lens, screw driven instead. Optics wise... I don't know, only have experience with the 2470 nanocoat.

The difference that I know is there's autofocus motor (SWM) in 24-70 if I'm not wrong.

And 24-70 is one lens that Nikon users should really buy it, it's the best lens among it's range, seriously

2870 got AF-S so its silent. Main different other then already stated would be the size and weight, there's a reason why people call it "the beast" laugh.gif
