can some1 teach me how to get these kind of color? (Old fashioned)
will color balance solve this one? if it is can teach me how?

I heard from my friend who is very good in photography he told me if every brand has their own color tone I couldn't really get it.
so please do tell me the color difference between Nikon, Canon and Sony system. Example provided is better

3300rm for a 24-70? man that's a steal.

usually i check photomalaysia for second hand lens price average. 24-70 is perhaps around 5krm.

the usual with most, if not all, lens updates: sharper, better CA control, AF-S, gelded, less vignette, more contrast (nano coat).

doesn't mean the old one wasn't any good; it's just that updates are usually better in many ways smile.gif

one is white version, one is normal tongue.gif optical quality difference should be enough reason to buy the latest version

and if you look at the sales thread, you can see the extended part of the lens.

nikon never said its lenses are weather sealed. but most of us knew it from experience that the lenses can and do appear weather resistant. to what extent? well up to your luck i guess tongue.gif

i've used my camera with the 18-70mm in minor rain a couple of times without cover. no problem so far *touch wood*

the 18-70 do has this rubber thingie at the mount part though. not bad for a kit lens smile.gif

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Feb 1 2011, 07:59 PM)

This lens was recommended by another friend of mine instead of taking the kit lens. He doesn't recommend me to go for the kit lens if I'm looking to be in photography for long term.
Perhaps I would be able to pack one out with the D7000 body + 35mm 2.0. Anyway, I have always wish I could make myself more understand, why many people actually recommending the 35mm 2.0 than the 35mm 1.8, 50mm 1.8 or the 18-105mm 3.5~5.6 kit? unsure.gif
I probably skip these two for the time being as it'll definitely exceeding my budget sweat.gif
*
vearn, if it was me: i'd just buy the d7000kit set. the 18-105 VR is plenty good for starters. you get a good range and VR to start with. great high iso performance + VR = winrar. people are recommending other lens just out of pure gear envy tongue.gif yes, those recommended lens are good, but not really essential for starters. you will know what you really need want later on.

further back you said you mentioned your quoted pricing: i'd take the first option (without filter and normal 8GB SD). and then buy another 8gb sandisk ultra from the forums (for your video needs). price should be cheaper than the other options. as for the filters and protectors, don't worry too much about it; your new camera is capable enough to take a lil' beating smile.gif

sony flashes more canggih ma, the head is like a snake head biggrin.gif

if you don't have a flash yet, i guess you could opt for a sb700. same functions as a sb900. and you won't melt your color gels as easily :|

plus when you want to upgrade, the sb700 will make a nice second flash.

Hi Andy, appreciate and thanks for remembering and mentioning out that I'm actually did mentioned I'm into videography as well smile.gif

Yeah, I still wanted to do videography with my soon-to-be D7000. However, thing changed slightly when my friend couldn't wait for me next month to purchase together and he dragged me out to settle his today. So, he bought the kit lens laugh.gif

After playing a while with the kit lens, I'm not trying to be offending... but somehow I feel the 18-105 doesn't suits what I'll be looking to be taking for whatever in my plan. Food, portrait and happenings. Initially I opted for 18-105 kit because of the videography purpose, but hell yeah, since my friend and I will be indulging into this hobby together, might as well I get a prime and can swap whenever needed. Which hence, I brought up the initial recommended 50mm and 35mm respectively and there goes the story. Anyway, this idea actually started at the shop when the sales guy doesn't recommend me to get high-end filter for the kit lens as he mentioned I'll change it away very soon and wasted the 67mm. He suggested me only to get high-end filter for long-term lens which mostly the prime lenses.

I apologize sincerely for being the root of havoc between edwardgsk and you. Both your opinions sounded well and I had them both absorbed notworthy.gif
Thanks KTCY for the explanation, I'm more considering the 35mm f/2 now since it fit my budget but not the 50mm f/1.4G yet smile.gif

i posted this in the d300 thread wayyy back when i first got my camera tongue.gif taken with 50mm 1.4 AI-s. found the lens in the house storeroom during cleaning.

i do have the 50mm 1.8 and 50mm af-s as well, but i find the ai-s is easier to use for video.

haha yeah. more shooting, less reading on camera and lens defect on the net unsure.gif .

summore people thinks their dslr is too fragile. everything oso need to protect unsure.gif i know we paid a lot of money for the dslr but have a lil faith in your camera, it should be able to withstand minor abuse thumbup.gif

plus i doubt that the top lcd protector you bought will affect your 2nd hand price when you want to sell the camera unsure.gif

the specs is an awesome nikon flagship camera + canon awesome video haha. but i doubt all the 50/60fps full hd movie options though. the canon 7d with dual chips does 60fps in hd (720p) mode only, not the full hd mode.

Well finally had a chance to hold D7000 earlier today and i really like the feeling. Feels alot more sturdy then D90, shutter sound also softer and the squishy shutter is nice. Also like the movie mode switch laugh.gif

So now begs the question, new body or new lens? hmm.gif  laugh.gif  tongue.gif
*
you'd enjoy a new lens better than a new body. unless you're going FX la then by all means get a new body tongue.gif

as you can see, many are just waiting for a d800 tongue.gif
