How's the focussing speed of sigma 50mm compared to Nikkor's G?? That day I tested the G and then the D, wow..... the G is soooo slow compared to D!! it is omg slow if comparing side by side..... wonder how's Sigma

Today I decide to bring my 1855 kitty for a walk in China town somewhere.
it's been a while since I mount it on my body, if I am not mistaken the lens throne is directly replaced by my 35mm 1.8.

as the result 1855 is outstanding still a very good lens.

Based on my understanding, the SWM is just a motor. The rest is left for you to explain to me about the relationship between this motor and the "low light".

yeah the AF is quite slow but it is a very good lens still. the best you can get with 350 bucks
I'd say. of course we should take a side 50mm 1.8 prime as it serve different purpose.

i used 2 focus charts to test it ... used at the closest focus range & the largest aperture as well ... not forgetting i mounted it on a tripod at 45 degrees angle ... i seriously dont know what went wrong ... hopefully if they cant repair it they will replace a new one for me ... my 16-85 is a good & sharp lens to use ... but bokeh wise ...   

Kit lens = lens that came with a kit like 1855 or 18105

D3s kit lens = 2470 le

D3s=downpayment for a nice honda civic 

But honestly nowadays when I travel, I see a lot more people just hanging the DSLR around their necks. Heck just go to Pavillion and can spot at least 5 ppl with their cameras around their neck

cos he has a D700, 24-70, 85G, 70-200 & 2 x SB900 ... u tell me those gears are godlike or not ...   

SB900 only overheats for those who don't know how to use flash, it won't overheat under normal usage, i have yet to get overheating after 1 year of using 

SB900 recycles slower using alkalines instead of nimh.

FX lens overall better than DX lens one lah. This is a basic knowledge.

i would guess any flash on a d3100 would feel unbalanced, even sb600 since even the di622 makes it feel unbalanced
