I suffered AF problem on my tammy in low light. But after attached with my flash unit and it turned great. Assist light yo!

Mine is VC version. low lights situation. You can feel it's trying to focus the subject for 3~5 seconds or more, af motor sound keeps going to focus the subject else you might need to chance position so that you can focus it right. If it's on still subject it's acceptable, but a big No to a moving subject.

Mostly if i shoot landscape in low light, Manual focus and VC off(on tripod).
Overall this lens, worth a shot. Can get lower than 1.5k for second hand in Garage Sales as new one around 1.7k~ with 2 years warranty. VC does help especially you're taking handheld shot on low shutter speed. |
