I saw the amount being deducted in MBB2Kard amex account. Transaction date is 28th Feb, Posting date is 1st March. But when I login yesterday I cannot locate the entry.

Ps: I calculated based on my total expense during weekend, I should be entitled to RM45.01 rebate, but was given RM44.99. hmm

calculate each 5% transaction individually, and round down each transaction to the nearest cent

It is confirmed that the cash back is based on transaction date, not posting date. My doubt is cleared.
May not be so for my case. I got the full RM50 rebate too for last month and if it is based on transaction date, then there is no way that i am getting the full RM50 rebate.

By the way, any idea if online purchases on the weekend entitle for the 5% weekend rebate too ? hmm.gif

Would you mind to post your transaction details including posting and transaction dates here?

I made some transactions on weekends which have different transaction and posting dates. The posting dates were 1 to 3 days after the transaction dates. Even though the transactions were posted on weekdays, I was given the 15% cash back for the transactions made during weekends.

I think we can conclude that online purchases made during weekend are entitled for the 5% weekend rebate too.

So Miles, I see nothing wrong in your statement. And it is confirmed, cash back is given based on transaction dates and not posting dates.

Using AMEX Ikhwan here, register 15% cash back on Nov 2010. Until now still haven't get any cash back on this. Called the CS, they giving some funny excuses, they said every month only have 3 million cash back given out based on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis (okay, this i can accept), I tell her I have a transaction on 1st Dec 2010, 10am when the shop opens then I straight go buy a jeans at midvalley (quite rush to get 1 at that day), she replied like a recorded radio, same message "Sorry sir, every month we only have 3 mil caps for the 15% cash back which was based on first come first serve basis"

Okay, 3 mil cash back was paid finish to the maybank AMEX holder at 1st day of the month, 10am, a time that every shop baru open....

So sad and tired speaking with her.

Yes. Before that someone said transaction done online is not eligible for the weekend's 5% cash back. Therefore, i did not expect to get any cash back for the MAS tickets i bought.

Did not go through the T&C myself. It was still so new then with many informations weren't available and even spelling errors which is why i did not bother to read it then. Anyway, someone posted here last month (or was it in the credit card thread) that online purchases are not entitled for the weekend's 5% cash back.

The culprit who posted that online don't get 5% on weekend was me. But I did state that it was commented by someone at my blog where she mentioned that CS informed her and I gave a link to that comment.

So we can now confirm that all type of transactions on weekends get 5% right?

you guys having Maybankard 2 should swipe both Amex and Visa and then you can compared the conversion rates to see the difference.

Online transaction is one type of retail transactions.

I guess you were confused by "erry" in the Credit Card Thread who kept highlighting that only physical swipe would be considered as retail transaction. sweat.gif

That's good to know... Again it depends on when the merchant charges it.
Which merchant ?
