Partipating outlets at 1 Utama can use TP to pay for your purchase. It is known as Rcube or something like that
Yeap, for now Rcubed at 1U only. 2100TP = RM10. With 5X TP that's equivalent to 2.381%American Express® Cards v3, Treatpoints & Membership Rewards™

Finally, finished my article and review on Maybanard 2 Cards for my blog at http://creditcardsmalaysia.blogspot.com/
Below is the main gist of the entire article and for those not wanting to waste time reading it at my blog: Benefits of Maybankard 2 Cards which I feel is worth repeating: I) 2 Credit Cards for a single GST of RM50 or shall we say RM25/each. II) Free Lifetime Annual Fees - no conditions, no need to swipe minimum times or spend a minimum amount annually. III) Travel Insurance - this is great as can use the card to purchase tickets and get 5X rewards points and 5% cash rebate (max RM50 but still better than nothing). IV) 5X Treats Points anywhere in the world plus monthly cap of RM50 cash back for every Saturdays and Sundays. Note that it was mentioned Principal card holder only, better check if Supp cards also enjoy the 5% cash back when you apply for it. V) The Visa or MasterCard, you can keep in your drawer as it only gives 1X point for every Ringgit. (But if you want 0% installment plans by merchants, then this card may be of use). Comparison between Maybank 2 American Express Card and OCBC Titanium MasterCard MBB 2 Amex gets 5X Reward Points Everyday, Anywhere and Anytime vs. OCBC TMC Nothing, Nil, None, Zero; MBB 2 Amex Free Lifetime Annual Fees vs. OCBC TMC need to swipe 12 times; MBB 2 Amex GST must pay (but with 5X points only need to spend RM2K to get 10,000 Treats Points to offset GST ) vs. OCBC TMC must pay but auto waived if spend RM10K annually; MBB 2 Amex 5% cash back on weekends anywhere vs. OCBC TMC 5% cash back anytime but not everywhere; MBB 2 Amex offers Travel Insurance vs. OCBC none; and last but not least MBB 2 Amex overseas transactions are subjected to 2.5% Admin Charge but with 5X maybe this is acceptable vs. a lower overseas conversion rate with OCBC TMC (do note again that the RM50 cap which may limit the usefulness of OCBC Titanium MasterCard for overseas spending). BOTH MBB 2 Amex and OCBC Titanium cash rebate is capped at RM50/month Please be warned that my entire article is kind of long with lots of other stuff unrelated to Maybankard 2 cards. So if you have the time to spare or just want some leisure reading over the weekend, click below link to go directly to my post on Maybankard 2: Click here to read my review of Maybankard 2 Cards. |

With so many people wanting the Maybankard 2, today Friday ( the staff won't be productive) and followed by two non working days, guess you should only check again after next Tuesday. Like I mentioned in my blog, downloading the application form and faxing to Maybank may be faster as all your details are filled in by you and the possibility of an error is less and easier for MBB officer to process your application instead of calling them where error may bound to happen.
Well, I called AMEX CS yesterday night to check on my application status and it was shown in their system my Maybankard 2 Cards application is being process BUT it's for the Gold Card. Later have to call up the girl I spoke to when I applied for the MBB 2 Cards over the phone to and change in to Plat cards OT: Interested to see this year red packets from Alliance, CIMB, EON, HSBC, Hong Leong Bank, OCBC, RHB, UOB, Metro Jaya and Prudential Click here to my blog on Ang Pow Lai at Ringgit Wise Fool This post has been edited by Gen-X: Jan 26 2011, 10:28 PM |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jan 24 2011, 09:31 AM) Yeap, no Premier HSBC red packets.QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 24 2011, 01:13 PM) hahaha, LYN standard blue is like classic where as my blog is black similar to Platinum, Premium and the Elite Amex Centurion Card. Thanks for visiting my blog. ![]() Anyway, called the MBB tele-marketing center and spoke to the same girl I applied my MBB 2 Cards and she remembered me. Hopefully she'll take the appropriate actions and change the application to Plat. Like I mentioned in my blog, faxing in the application by fax will reduce the chances of an error as all info is filled in by yourself instead of by others. If MBB sent me the Gold card, headache got to go ask for new Plat cards. Good to follow up on your application status. |

Since I kiasu, also got my wife to apply for her own Maybankard 2 Cards.the language they use |

QUOTE(winner @ Feb 2 2011, 08:12 PM) It is not recommended to apply for the cards through telephone without submitting any documents. Some forummers here including myself tried this method but ended up receiving error and delay. True.If you want to get the card fast, you can download the form from M2U website and fill in the form yourself and then fax or email it over to MBB together with some supporting documents. My application 2 weeks already via phone still hanging. I did mention in my blog that applying via phone will tend to be slower. Anyway, wanted Plat but in MBB system my application is for Gold. So going to apply again for Plat formally by filling up applicaiton form and if they give me both Gold and Plat best. QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Feb 2 2011, 04:48 PM) I got a question.. You will be issued with another Visa Card and your existing Visa still can be used. This Maybankard 2 Amex must comes with a Visa card? Currently i have a seperate Petronas and Amex gold... If i have to get the Visa too that means i cant get 5x points when pumping Petronas petrol anymore... If you go pump at Esso with the Maybankard 2 Amex, you will get 5X TP and another 5% cash back on Saturday and Sunday. QUOTE(FirezZ @ Feb 2 2011, 07:19 PM) hmm.. just went to maybank branch ... and the lady explained on t he maybank2cards.... almost the same thing i was being told by the guy from klcc... Except for .... i need to refill everything as in the application form again .. duh .. (*i am mbb current classic cards holder) To read more about Maybankard 2 Cards, click below to my blog:additional : there are 2 types of maybank2cards... platinum and gold cards... with my salary range of 4.5 ... i am able to get the gold card and she said if we are about to get the platinum card... we are able to access the klia lounge as well ? http://creditcardsmalaysia.blogspot.com/20...an-express.html Only AMEX's AMEX Platinum Card gives you access to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge and not MBB Platinum Cards. QUOTE(choonkeong @ Feb 4 2011, 12:14 AM) Please do not promote ESSO/MOBIL, my car get 20% less mileage with Synergy Oil. Some may find out that this oil is better. It depends. Some car may like this fuel but some car/engine not. I believe not all oil are the same and there is no best oil. so what petrol you pumping and does the station accept AMEX? If yes, I want go and try out. |

QUOTE(choonkeong @ Feb 4 2011, 10:19 AM) Shell, Caltex, ESSO, MOBIL but BHP I am not sure. Petronas sure cannot. choonkeong, I know shell does claim its petrol goes further but I asking which brand you find give you better than ESSO for your case. Caltex kind of out of my way. Shell many stations but I find that there was no diff when I the RON97 with my car. For my case, it depends on how I drive i.e. speeding or not.I missed Shell for long time because Just One cannot be used here and last time Caltex did. Now Caltex accept Just One d. |

QUOTE(beyond86 @ Feb 6 2011, 05:04 PM) I think you should get the Maybankard 2 Cards application approved first then only cancel your Amex Gold CC. Reason being is that your application would be process faster if you are a current MBB card holder.Just for your info, I would recommend that you apply the Maybankard 2 Cards by downloading the application form and faxing to Maybank instead of applying via phone. Last few day I was very free and since my application for MBB 2 Cards via phone done more than 2 weks ago still hanging, I downloaded the form and faxed over to MBB on 3rd Feb 2010 and got a called from MBB on 5th February to confirm my application and on the spot the guy told me they will sent me the cards soon. Anyway, I was writting an article for my other blog on Rolex watches and somehow it lead to me mentioning American Express being the best card to use to purchase a Rolex in Malaysia. Click link below to read more on my article titled Currencies Rolex No.8 if you are thinking of getting a Rolex. http://ringgitwisefool.blogspot.com/2011/0...-rolex-no8.html This post has been edited by Gen-X: Feb 6 2011, 08:13 PM |

QUOTE(beyond86 @ Feb 7 2011, 08:00 PM) wrong thread, ahahah.Well it depends, if you have only 1 card to choose from and no other cards from other banks, then it depends on how much you spend a month. For OCBC Titanium, the cash back is capped at RM50/month with cash back rate of 1% or 5% depending on transaction type. For the 5% cash back you only need to spend RM1K. For the OCBC Gold Visa, if you spend more than RM30,000 a month, the cash back you get is 0.2% = RM60 which is more than OCBC Titanium. To match OCBC Titanium capped cash back of RM50, you need to spend RM25,000. With 0.2% cash back, better you go with other bank classic cards giving you 1X reward point. The question to ask is OCBC Titanium better or OCBC Platinum better. The OCBC Platinum gives 0.5% cash back and not capped. So if you spend more than RM10K a month, OCBC Plat better than OCBC Titanium. The way to go is get OCBC Titanium and Maybankard 2 American Express |
