Those didn't get call for verification, do you guys have existing CC with Maybank/AMEX?
No. I am not an existing Maybank credit card holder. Used to be a Maybankard AMEX Gold supplementary card holder but it was canceled 2 years ago and my last savings account with Maybank was closed more than 6 months ago.

To those who has had their MBB2 Amex listed in Maybank2U, can check if the card appears in the dropdown menu when paying bills online? It will be great if it does ! Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Virtually none if you want to do it with M2U.

To verify
Click on your VISA card -> Payment (on left hand panel) means there are payees accepting VISA. But none for AMEX.

Added on February 1, 2011, 7:42 amAnyway guys, do you still keep your AMEX Plat after receiving the Maybankard 2?

today i went to klcc and approached one guy there on the platinum card.. he told me that anyone with earning 2.5 K can straight away apply this +_+
so is this still platinum card ?

the interesting part i am seeing here.. on this card :

- lower interest rate
- 5 % on swipe purchase during weekend..

my question .. whats the diff. between current card holder with this so called " platinum card" ?

i mean if it is better, everyone will go ahead with this card package then .... or they merely promoting amex ? when i applied for m2card before.. i was given amex card too

I doubt that easy to get a Platinum CC from MBB/AMEX.

Perhaps they're trying to lure to apply and ended up getting a Gold CC.

Bear in mind that sales agents will go all out to lure customers applying for cards so that they can hit the sales target and get their commission. They could ask a customer who is not qualified for Platinum card to apply for Gold card first, but in the end, the customer will only get Gold card instead.

No matter what, the new Maybankard 2 Amex is one of the best card in market now, regardless of whether it is Gold or Platinum. Just go for it!

Since my Amex Gold CC just got charged RM50 service tax, should I wait till year end only apply for M2 CC? I'm thinking to apply, but do not think it is worth to pay another RM50 again...

You have to do your calculation. If the 5% cash back during weekends and 5x TPs can give more than what you pay for the RM50 service tax, then you should apply for Maybankard 2 Amex IMMEDIATELY.
