Today I tried to cancel one of my remaining cards - AMEX Gold Credit card, as I still have some MR points associated with this card through the phone. I was thinking to redeem all the MR as initially I know of we are not able to transfer MR to TP. However, to my surprise, I asked the Customer Service again if it can be done that way and I got an answer "YES". I was stunned and at the same time, I felt happy, because I do not need to use up all these points when I cancel the AMEX Gold CC. Previously, when the MBB2C launched, this was not possible.

So the answer is YES now, with the condition you terminate the card that carries MR.

Now...

I cancelled my Amex Gold cc some 2 weeks ago. To my surprise, the account has been automatically removed from my M2U when I checked my M2U yesterday. I would say MBB service has improved and unlike the previous time whereby the cc accounts would be shown in M2U for years even though the accounts had been terminated.

For my AMEX Gold and Plat, even I requested them to remove from M2U, seems like it's still there! It has been 2 months since I canceled Plat and recently on the Gold. Have been making this request a few times... Wondering what's wrong at their side...

Over the years, I cancelled a few MBB cards and they still appear in M2U. I requested for removal at a branch itself, over the phone and at MBB Kiosk in 1 Utama, but some how they stayed there. So my most recent attempt was to send an email, and finally it worked and all removed properly.
