Amex gold charge card AF is easy to waived if the card is active in usage.
The one that difficult and almost impossible to waive AF are the Amex platinum charge card.
*
Yes, for the Amex Gold Charge Card, the CS can waive it on the spot over the phone.

Why, you think I joking? tongue.gif I have not paid my AMEX Gold Charge Card annual fee for more than a decade. You can call now and see what they say, it is Tol Free anyway, no cost to you if you use landline or DiGi. AMEX CS 1800-88-9559.

Already called. Can only be waived when it has been charged. I'll have to give a call end again of this year

Well they seem not that reluctant to give the waiver. Glad to hear that.

Gen-X your annual fee is waived for life or you have to call yearly to waive them?

You need to refer to the Airlines miles .. Miles is another term like Points, not actual miles you can fly lah.

I just got my Amex Plat (not the Maybank 2 card).
I have no other Maybank account, and I requested to have M2U.

Surprisingly, the officer tried and can't create for me. Anyone had that experience where they do not have any other Maybank facilities? Wanted to know whether it's the officer's inexperience or it's the default.

When he enter the card to the "pin machine" the machine came up with error "cannot create pin".

If that is the case, how do I check my transactions and if I wanted to request online statement, where to view? Can it be viewed via Amex website: https://www.americanexpress.com.my/amx/pers...?action=display ?

Haven't called CS yet, just wanted to see other people's experience before I call.

That I've done. But saw a note there as well stating: "To view your American Express Credit Card transactions, you may visit www.maybank2u.com.my"

Although I saw a "Recent Charge" button there, since I just got the card; I don't know whether or not this would shows transactions or not. Can advise?

The other thing I thought of is paying bills. Usually for other bank's card; I need to log in to their website and select bill to pay using my card or account. But if M2U is not there, that means I can't pay bill using my Amex right - unless I register for auto deduction lor... am I right?

yes, all new transactions, cash back, etc will be shown in recent transactions.

As for paying bills online no idea. But I know for Maxis and DiGi, you can go to their centres and sign up for auto debit with them.

haha, then at least got more comfort. At least can check on and off to make sure account didn't get fraud smile.gif
Then for bill paying will still have to use my other cards. I don't like register for auto debit because very troublesome when change card or card number. Need to re-register. That's why I usually use online transaction paying monthly with either my card or bank account.
