got same issue for me...irritating to push the power button..
just been auto upgrade to 2.3.3 last Sunday.

Problem arise:

1) unlock button: had to push power button for unlocking HP (Lock 2.0), before this just had to push navigation button (much easier)
2) call history: call log did not appear when i tap the Call button, need to push backspace button twice to see make it appear.
3) typing msg: always make me to save the new word (cause i use bahasa rojak), type long msg and when i want to slot new word at previous sentence (had to tap at screen, pop up saved appeared) xsukeee la...nk pakai navigate cursor pn jd ssh.. sad.gif

hmmm y OTA have this kinda issue...
i don have any problem with Vision ROM (using stock 2.0 recent OTA update too)...

Root it then you can do what ever you like...
be sure that you off the Update Check inside the About Phone>Software Updates
so it will not update the firmware itself... smile.gif

You need to log into your HTC Friendstream with your Facebook account to sync with HTC Sense. If you log into the Facebook App, nothing will happen.

Usually, I just log in HTC Friendstream once and just leave it there. The default Facebook App is so much better biggrin.gif

you need to root, then flash into custom ROM... but not original Sense 3.0...
it is just partial like ppl integrate in lock screen, sms, camera and others Sense 3.0 functions... smile.gif

some of my screenshots... please go thru your self...

hmmm never use Unity ROM b4...

My device customised list

Kernel : 2.6.35.10-virtuous-sensev3.0.1+rmk@droid #3
Overclock : 1.21 GHz (on demand) by SetCPU
Current ROM :Synergy RLS1 compiled by Siulmagic
Previous ROM :
Virtuous Sense v2.0.0 : Enhanced & Optimized Stock ROM (2.42.405.2)
InsertCoin_Vision Sense2.1 + 3.0 (v1.5) compiled by Siulmagic
CoreDroid Vision GB 2.3.3 with HTC Sense compiled by Siulmagic
HTC Stock Froyo 2.2

All the rom i used is my bro Suil... and i did tried Virtuous rom b4, but they are based on Stock rom they did not change any thing much...
I'll give Unity rom a try at the end of the week, coz i don wan the hazard to change all my things coz tomorrow morning i need to work... i keep a lot of mails and stuffs in the phone for my work... smile.gif

Unity is sort of a Pyramid port. I used it before. It says Sense 3.0 under software information.

I don't know why I don't like the Sense interface (especially the fact that we cannot end-process of the sense launcher when running a different launcher)

After tryout almost all the custom roms, I would still prefer MIUI somehow biggrin.gif

well if you don like sense launcher, y not use AOSP/Vanilla Android???
try G2 rom, it is nice... but i could not stand without Sense that time i flash back within few hours time...

@DJFoo000,
Ya it is Pyramid port... that's why i did not try... if ppl say it is good then i might give it a try... but the file looks heavy 400mb shocking.gif hopefully it will run smoothly...

lol the file size does't really do much difference, coz the internal memory of phone is divided into 575MB (ROM) + 1.21GB (Internal storage). Your installed apps will be saved in the internal storage of 1.2GB anyway.

Your problem would be the heavy Sense 3.0 features that take up quite a bit of RAM. I tried it and didn't like my apps getting pushed out of memory to support Sense widgets.

that is the correct size if u r using Desire Z. Tmobile G2 have way less system partition as they dont have sense rom. i ought to flash DesireZ HBOOT to support sense 3.0 rom.

well, i generally hate sense rom not because of fancy stuff, but our misery ram of 512mb push the sense out from memory when i load heavy program such as camera/browser. so whenever i load homescreen, it keeps loading. really annoying.

since then, im stucked with miui with its fancy and rather usable launcher. tongue.gif

btw, anyone interested with XiaoMi?

Sorry for OT

XiaoMi's price is just so tempting, best bang for the bucks. MIUI is nice, and the fact that the phone does not have a locked bootloader, and 310USD price tag, cant wait to see what the folks at XDA will squeeze out of it.
