That's because your phone is unbranded. Phones in other regions are carrier branded, and have a different CID. These ones need a goldcard. That's why there's this list of CIDs that can use WWE RUUs in downgrading guides. Goldcards are for bypassing CID checks.

but i checked my cid and it doesnt match..however, i created the gold card.maybe thats why i can downgrade..anyway, im soo satisfied with cm7 now..

my phone never rooted... but when i try to update the phone (2.3.4) OTA... it keep mentioning downloaded update corrupted...

My fren have got the same problem. He did not once tampered with the phone, yet failed to update OTA and getting the same message as you did.......

try downloading through internet pass through?

I think he tried it on wifi too... it's kinda weird IMO as the OTA file size is only 100mb. That's too small for an update..

I tried on wifi.... this is just repeating and puzzling

why dont u connect to the comp and try internet pass-through..the connection should be way more stable..

Today succeeded in updating, had been trying since yesterday, however my on-screen keyboard is still the same, I thought it should be updated with the gingerbread keyboard? Darker colour?

been trying to update it the whole morning without using wifi as I'm away from home. back home and tried it once again using wifi and it succeeded. nothin much change actually.btw, any1 know whats d prob with the phone if it kept refresh each time i exited from apps? its annoying and sometimes when i just unlock d phone, it straight away refresh. hav to wait for it to finish load only i can make calls. =[ phone is still new btw, got it on MAY 2011.

btw, jst bare with it..didnt knw hw to resolve it last time..got my phn new too in feb..after updating to 1.84..the loader keep rebooting every time i return to the main page..
