The bonus will be added into your gross income for the year which will be stated in the IR8A form. This form will be provided to you from your company or whoever's paying your salary. For the CPF part I'm not too sure, but logically if the company do deducts the CPF from your bonus then YES the company should also contribute to your CPF as well

Here's the link to the income tax rates taken from IRAS's website for residents

Feb 6 is a peak day and air tickets will be very expensive.
How about flying back on Feb 7 morning?
AirAsia has two flights to SG at 6.05am or 7.20am and you can head straight to the office.

hi guys, i have some questions to ask, i'm thinking to look for a job in Singapore, I'm IT background - graduated in bachelor of Information System Engineering
currently working in Intel Penang (outsource to) as IT technical support analyst, working experience 2 years

I have never been to Singapore before, so I don't know hows the traffic there
If I get the chance to work there, is it possible to go to work without car?
also, I heard that the house/room rent in Singapore is quite high, is that true? blink.gif

I have gone thru the first page, if I have to try with the expensive way, how much will i need to spend before I get the job in Singapore?
and how about the place to stay?

not sure if this is the right place to ask, please correct me if i'm at the wrong place. Thanks

public transport is pretty decent in sng.
jus plan ur route and u will b fine

no1 can promise u how long u will take to find a job.
some companys do do phone interview and once they deem u suitable, they will request u to make a trip to do a face-to-face interview...

After you get your tickets/check in, they pretty much never check your identity again.

Right now.....for these few more months...I would say around 80% if not higher all the work permits/employment passes has been rejected. DONT EVEN THINK of applying PR. Even getting a work permit/EP would be considered lucky.

Dont forget when u do get a PR u will have to start contributing to CPF

why is the work permits/EP getting rejected? i thought your employer applies them for you mean they are planning to hired you right?

btw been wondering do the employer applies for your the EP after you sign your offer letter or before?

usually i think you have to apply yourself.. they will just notify the mom and you have to go in person to apply...

approval in principle can be given before or after, usually after but there're cases where they apply for the candidate even before signing of the offer letter based on verbal agreement
