QUOTE(chyun3 @ Mar 25 2011, 10:06 AM) Hi guys, I get a Electronics Engineer job at HP Singapore, i have 3.5 years experience and they offered me 3.5K. Can any engineer here tell me is this pay OK? I think need to move to somewhere near Queenstown or Depot Road, any guys here have any rooms nearby for rent? Thanks Not sure about electronic engineering. But mechanical engineer with 3 year exp in OnG/Marine and depending on which company your attached would be getting around 4-5K or more. This post has been edited by crapp0: Mar 25 2011, 01:08 PM

QUOTE(cyclone9 @ Mar 25 2011, 12:04 PM) how about bukit indah terminal(near jusco aeon) for CW3 bus? don't linger around that area too much. so not very sure. why don't you just drive in? even the parking is a bit expensive, but its much more safer and convenient for you to drive around compare to putting ur car in JB. according to JB crime rate index, the highest reported crime is motorcycle theft followed by car theft. so I seriously advice you to reconsider. unless u park it in my house la. hahaha, but mind is only a flat, open car park. but quite safe la because the area is very far from city and very deep in. so not much people will go there. I have spent the last 6 years living outside my hometown/country, and I personally think that working in another country expands your horizon and puts you out of your circle of comfort. Learning to adapt in new, alien environments helps you develop into a more mature individual. Just my two cents, but I think that this should be seen as a pro and not a con. To me, home is home, of course it's nice to be at home but people will never improved if they choose to stay in their comfort zones. Anyway, I'd really recommend people to go out from malaysia, maybe work in some other countries, gain exposures, international networks and experiences. These are definitely be really helpful in long run, regardless of your future choice of coming home or stay abroad.

For me, I believe in carpe diem, so enjoy while you can. Imagine in Malaysia you drive but coming to Spore you take public transport, traveling by B.M.W. is a huge turn off for me. In addition, I believe working culture in Spore isn't much different from KL. Exposures aren't that significant anyway.
