n900 is for modder!

there is good solid development of a portrait mode keyboard with full qwerty and t9 prediction based on fMMS.... there's a video of it too in maemo.org

Try reflash again & if it's still not working then send for warranty.

I asked this before also.No one have done this so far.
There are some seller selling N900 spare parts.If you have dismantling skill then you can buy the keypad part & replace it on your own.It'll revoke warranty.

Enable all repos,search for kernel power,install kernel power 2.6.28 v46 something & reboot
Reboot with your keyboard open if you have NITDroid installed.

I don't see any reason to use converter if you use N900.
So far I can play almost all video format I wanted to play without converting then.That including some funny audio format.

Install MPlayer + SiB you should be able to play majority of the videos assuming the resolution is supported by N900.

Try downgrading your phython version.

Not really.N900 can be used without much hacking.

Guys, i wan to ask something. Yesterday i accidently update PR1.3 succesfully, but haven't reflash. Now, i need to follow manual update B as page 1 and follow all the step except download RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin for flash?

thats definitely true as i was converting the bootscreen video for my n900.
i downloaded in flv and changed to avi
resolution would go higher or lower dpending on the format
i am still surprised how the resolution could go higher. lol

I suggest u juz reflash ur phone using the FP method..
U need to familiar with the flashing method..huhu

Btw..to using the FP method, u need to download all those file to ur PC.
Only then, u can flash ur phone..

owh, if that's the case, I don't really understand the whole thing but, for those that's already there with "." infront of filename, I think the system still can detect e.g. .documnet, .images, .sounds, .video...

try create a new folder with the "." infront? haven't try really not sure, if not just use "tracker-cfg"

Try removing and reinstalling?
Try removing and installing using the manual method
go to xterm
apt-get install --reinstall -y kernel-power kernel-power-flasher
