also, AFAIK, if u want to partition the microSD or eMMC, you have to do it via CLI...no GUI..unless you do it via GParted..

try to put the username without the alias..eg : username = abc

or you could try installing Pidgin extra protocol.

after disconnecting the wifi, leave the phone for about 5 minutes, then check htop and look at the process which is taking the most CPU usage..see if you can reproduce the problem again..

but, if u want to partition the emmc (32GB), i'd suggest u do it using GParted..u will need to have linux machine (ubuntu/linuxmint/fedora) installed on your PC..or, you can do it the easy way,

boot from GParted live cd..

i formatted my microSD using GParted live CD..i have yet to partition the eMMC internal memory..still waiting for uboot to be stable..i prefer to avoid multiboot though..

angrybirds level pack 4 has been submitted to ovi..just waiting for ovi to release them..

reflash with the current firmware..look at the first page of the thread...

be sure to download the global version of PR1.3..(latest maemo 5 version) and latest VANILLA image...then just follow the guide on FP..

read my thread in tmo, under N900, i did ask for proper documentation for uboot, but the maintaner of uboot told that currently uboot is only configurable for dual boot btween maemo and meego..

but it doesnt mean that uboot cannot be configured for other kernel/os, it can..but u have to do it via hard way..and i mean really hard..

SEA, try experimenting with the tutorial i gave u about configuring uboot in pm..i know it wasnt so clear..but, that's the best i can help..i have yet to try it myself..as i am currently very bz.. sorry though..

last time i tried, it wasnt successful..

here's an advice..if letsay u often boot into other kernel such as power46,nitdroid, or meego..i'd suggest u use uboot..its hard..i knew that..i tried..

but if u dont boot into other kernel that often, u r better off with multiboot..like for example, booting into nitdroid once in 2 or 3 days..or other power kernel, so yeah..multiboot makes ur life easier..

unless u boot into nitdroid or other kernel twice a day, then i strongly advise u to try and configure until u manage to boot using uboot..

as u know, using multiboot too often will damage the NAND flash..unlike multiboot, uboot doesnt flash into other kernel/os, but rather, it LOADS the kernel/os from the specific path that u need to configure yourself...so it involves a lot of work and trial&error..

hi..pls check your system system setting for
1. internet connections - make sure you choose "always ask" for "connect automatically setting"
2. Location - disable both GPS and Network Positioning
3. Always use 2G network instead of 3G when not using any data service

meLi is using ubuntu running LXDE..yes it's smooth..however, you cannot view your files in Maemo if u are running those distros..eg: if u want to listen to mp3 in ubuntu, you will need to copy the mp3 from maemo, and paste it inside the ubuntu folder so that ubuntu can read it..

atm, ubuntu cannot read/view/execute files on maemo..

can someone copy and paste the original code for "ideal" kernel-power-setting..i accidentally overwrite it with "lv"..

not that one..that one i know..the problem is, i accidentally overwrite the ideal profile with lv..

it's located in /usr/share/kernel-power-settings..search for "ideal" and pls upload it here.. =)
