yeah eventually suceeded in my appeal OCBC titanum icon_rolleyes.gif
i suspect that the reason why they rejected my application previously was because I did not submit all the supporting documents (althou i submitted photocopy of the Plat card, which i have been holding for years).

but this time around, have to say they are quite efficient, i emailed all the documents to them on friday's evening and got it approved today.

called the telephone computer system, it is weird, at first it played "unsucessful" then followed by "approved"

anyhow, m anciously waiting for the card's arrival and cant wait to fully utilise the card's benefit.. flex.gif

I guess with the maximum rebate available, i would be able to get at least RM100 cash rebate/month. 5% for all petrol, 5% for bill transactions 5% on dinning and 1% for other transaction.

Even if just taking the 1%; which is already very good compared to other banks cc...

ya now the hottest promotion, 5%+3% if u pay yr bill online.

Forget about point. This is the best all-rounder credit card in Malaysia. No question.

But the rebates you'll get from this card will be more than enough to cover the credit card tax.

Please refer to this thread > Interbank Funds Transfers. Since you already bank with CIMB Bank, you might want to open a Basic Savings Account with them. Make sure you request for the one without any ATM Card annual fee smile.gif

what is the type of deposit account you have in CIMB?
Fund transfer to own credit card is supposed to be FOC.

The CIMB Bank IBG charges listed there is definitely correct. Please read it again. You were charged RM2 per transfer because your savings account is NOT a Basic Savings Account which is why i suggested to open a BSA with CIMB Bank.

From my experience is that you have to specifically request to open a Basic Savings Account or they will just open a regular savings account for you. As for how to find out your current account type, you can check it at any CIMB Bank branch. Alternatively, you can send them a secured message through cimbclicks.com.my.

It is possible with Hong Leong Bank. Not sure about CIMB Bank.

OIC! You're transferring to SCB! Not CIMB!
My bad. Then it is correct that you should be charged RM2 for that fund transfer.

If you got a passbook, account type will be stated on it. Usually can't convert account types for most banks.

Does CIMB Petronas card have points collection like treatpoints for MBB? I don't see my points summary in my statement.

How about Public bank gold card? Do they give points for purchases as well?
