You will see all the time is 9:00am then and unlikely they will show the seconds. So no point displaying the time. But I think you will get at least 10k UNIRinggit if you send another SMS code, right?

yes, i think i should agree with you if i sent in another lower requirement sms, at least got chance to get 10k UniRinggit doh.gif

You no longer need the HSBC Security Device to access your HSBC credit card account online now. Just go to any HSBC branch and tell them you'll like to register for internet banking and you do not have any savings or current account with them. You'll be required to set up a 8-word passcode. Every time you login to your HSBC internet banking, you have to key in your username, password and 3 of the 8-word passcode you registered with them.
If i'm not mistaken, they only give the security device to those who have a savings or current account with them now as you must have the security device to perform IBG.
*
Ya, u r right, HSBC Security is no longer needed to access CC statement/IBG online. Actually I registered for internet banking already. They did send me a six digit PIN as my 1st access to IBG. It's quite troublesome coz I actually have to type an alphanumerical 8 digit password, in addition of 3 out of the 8 word alphanumerical SECONDARY password. Yeah, two different password (in terms of security it's good but I find tis quite troublesome). I just read sth bt the security device. It's kinda like have to pay or its like only those business banking need it or wat. It's good nt to use security device oso, quite troublesome haha!

IBG ? You mean Interbank GIRO ? Actually, you still need the HSBC Security Device for IBG. As for acccount transaction history, no. You don't need the HSBC Security Device.

If i'm not mistaken, only corporate customers have to pay. People like us don't smile.gif

By the way, the HSBC Security Device has a battery life of approximately 5 years. We are supposed to pay RM50 to get a HSBC Security Device replacement. Have not done this before. Therefore, i am not sure if it is waivable.

FYI, last year i open a saving account in Shen Zhen China Bank and they also give me a security device and charge me RMB15 for it. It seem like overseas country started these device more early than our country. It's much much more secure with these device when transact over the net.

BTW, i forgot to ask them whether what is the requirement for a malaysian to apply a credit card from them.... brows.gif

HSBC in Asia has been adopting the security device thingy for many years already ... In a press release from their HQ in London sometime early this year, it said that this security device thingy will eventually be a standard thing in all countries it is present.

5 years? Then I'm going to close my account during year 4, then reopen a new account after that and get a new security device smile.gif

Certain banks won't allow you to open a new account in x months after you closed your last account. Not sure how it is like with HSBC.

OCBC also got such device (aka Hardware Token), and it is free upon replacement due to defects. Do you think a dead battery is considered as a defect? tongue.gif

It does not come with the statement. It is just a letter from SCB and it applies to any SCB card. Maybe this week we will see it on SCB website.

Can use this card as combo with OCBC, after maximising the RM120 rebates ;-)

I see.. i have Visa Paywave Eon credit card which my credit limit is Rm4500.

do you mean u apply for CIMB touch n go after 2 months u got ur Eon bank credit card? how u apply? just use Eon bank credit card and IC to apply for cimb and they grant u Rm7k for ur credit limit? WOW...!!!

Eon bank is not wise in granting high Credit Limit...
yea, I just apply my CIMB with my EON Bank CC + IC.

I got CIMB CL with RM7,000 while my EON Bank only have RM3,000 that time biggrin.gif

I guess that time they offer higher CL, because tooo many people cancelling their cards I guess? laugh.gif

Yup. Some of them actually accept both. They have visa wave and paypass logo.

KLCC San Francisco cafe for example.
