anyone has experienced 4 weeks of processing for their OCBC Titanium? I missed two calls from private number this and last week, not sure whether it is from OCBC.

not sure whether I need to follow up or just wait and see
*
Yes... OCBC calls will be listed as "Private number".
If you don't answer, then they will assume the contact details are fake, and subsequently reject your application.

As requested in v11 thread, this is the list of my spending on OCBC Titanium card from 9/28-10/11.
The spending listed is "round down" and "sum".

479.00  Klinik + Insurance
253.00  Carrefour Tropicana
119.00  Giant Kelana Jaya
45.00  Petrol BHP
58.00  Pizza Hut
42.00  Secret Recipe
113.00  TMOnline
100.00  TNB @ Kedai Tenaga
100.00  TNB @ OCBC

5% rebate 28.95
1% rabate 7.32
The first transaction is obviously 1%.
The others is obviously 5%. Somehow, I get 1% for some of my spending. To be accurate, RM253 total spending goes to 1%.
My first guessing is Carrefour which 253 sharp.

Hope the expert here can help.  rclxms.gif
P/S:
Ronnie get 5% from Carrefour Tropicana
MGM get 1% from Carrefour Tropicana. Confirm by OCBC CS.
Myself probably get 1% from Carrefour Tropicana

Could it be different counter using different MCC Code  rclxub.gif ?
*
Ronnie did not shop at Carrefour Tropicana....
Based on the calculation, it seem to indicate 1% for Carrefour Tropicana & Klinik + Insurance (RM4.79+RM2.53=RM7.32)
Was the total 5% rebate = RM28.95 ? Based on my calculation, it should be RM28.85.

Statement Date = 15 October 2010

On 17 October 2010, I did Cash Advance withdrawal from ATM for RM100.
From 17 October to 15 November 2010, will there be DAILY INTEREST (18% p.a.) charged on the Cash Advance withdrawn ?

Old news.... let's all wait for Najib's Budget speech this Friday for actual details, rather than rumors.

100 also wanna witdrawn from cc?

You will kena cash advance fee of 5% or RM50 whichever is higher. Daily interest is calculated until full payment.
*
I'm just showing RM100 as an Example... maybe RM5000 is better choice ;-)

How is the daily interest calculated ?
A. from 17 October 2010 until full payment is made
A. from 15 November 2010 (statement date) until full payment is made

Sorry for the carrefour misunderstand. Previously you comment on my "Carrefour Tropicana", I thought you shop the same branch.
For the 5% rebate discrepancy, I am not sure. Probably "the system does not round down for all transactions amount" or "sum up then only round down" or "etc".
*
The figures you provide was based on Sum Up + Round Down, right ? Eg. the Klinik + Insurance
If you gave exact figures per transaction as Round Down, we could get closer to the figure.

Finance charge on cash advance or casino cash chip is calculated from date of transaction until full payment.
*
Then the answer is A. from 17 October 2010 until full payment is made

Is the above applicable to all Credit Cards issued in Malaysia ?

Nope. The figure I gave is "round down each transaction" and then "sum by shop".
Klinik + Insurance is sum after applied the formula above.
*
Then the figure should tally... strange. Nevertheless, we don't complain when we get more rebates (additional RM1), right ?

Hi, I saw in PBB website that their visa/master gold had 15% cash rebate during weekdays and 10% cash rebate during weekend for ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. In addition, RM60 cash back when activate the card. Any condition to get the RM60 cash back? the 15% and 10% cash rebate is applicable until when?
*
You are already at PB's website... still asking these questions ? Check the T&C links.

Thanks for the reply. Didn't see the T&C link just now.. Bcoz too excited when saw the promotion =)

the 15% cashback is not easy to get... you need to be the first 3,000 CC holders to qualify each month.

roy918: So we should add those under 5% rebate spending, and then only RoundDown to calculate the 5% ?

DirectAccess points used to be valid for 1 year, with the expiry date clearly written on the monthly statement.

When it was changed to 3 years, they just moved the expiry to 3 years.
Every month's statement shows the same expiry date.

I guess it's not 3 years from transaction date.

How do I take advantage of the 0% credit card interest until 31-dec-2010?
Does it mean that I can accumulate my credit card balance until 31-dec-2010 only then I paid the accumulated amount and there wont be any interest or charges incurred?
Sorry that this might be silly question to some.
*
You still need to pay the 5% or RM50 as the minimum due for the month.

So basically you are saying if i took a installment plan for good purchase which cost RM5k for 12 month, until i finish these installment i will not be able to buy anything else right?
*
Some banks will slowly release the monthly payment back as credit limit, some banks will hold the amount until you fully settle it.

Just received my OCBC statement

Merchants entitled for 5% Cash Rebate (additional to previous list)
- Maxis payment via E-Billing website
- Carrefour Sri Petaling
- Dragon-i Restaurant
- Esquire Kitchen
- Petronas

Merchants entitled for 1% Cash Rebate (additional to previous list)
- Tickets via AirAsia
- Guardian
- Touch N Go Hub KL Sentral
- MPH

Update on how to calculate your respective OCBC Titanium rebates
1. Add all transaction's EXACT amount together
2. Round-down the figure
3. Multiply by the rebate (5% or 1%)
