zz..Just now i try to switch from DD-WRT to DIR615 stock firmware..back unstable..walao eh

connection : on DIR-615 = WAN from Fiberhome, LAN 4 to IPTV
from DIR-615 = LAN 3 to my router WAN
on Netgear WGR614 router = LAN 1 to desktop , rest is wireless

as for how i compare.. well random downloads from megaupload and speedtest.net (the latency is exceptionally high but seems better now)... also few music albums (~ 90-100mb) from fileserve...
usually i get ~400-500kb DL speed... but now around 100-150kb...
as for rapidshare... speed do fluctuate but its much better as for now... (the fluctuate in speed is still quite bad but better speed)

i guess its the download site and my area's line??

My Netgear WGR614v9 is on STOCK firmware... better to do with dd-wrt? does it make a diff when running through DIR-615 as bridge..?

and coz this router is rather old i mean its wireless G router i think its sufficient lol... but not sure whether issit bcoz i need a better router as suggested like the TP-link one....

when using wifi it keep wanting to connect other wifi networks

if i wanna extend my connection by putting a router at another place, how i wanna configure the switch to read the IPTV red colour port ? for now i configure the router become switch already, internet is okay but IPTV for the switch doesn't work. can it be done ?

What & how is your connection method when you "usually get ~400-500kb"? Is it using the standard connection from DIR-615 only?
I'm trying to figure out how do you connect the WGR614v9 prior to connect it with DIR-615 as bridging mode for you to make the comparison.

WGR614v9 is Broadcom base and I think v9 is not official confirmed by dd-wrt.

You don't need to flash with dd-wrt, it should work find with your current method.

Ok, guys, while we are waiting for the shipment, please go through Riz's guideline again to fully understand how to configure the RB250GS:

So with RB250GS, you guys can either:
1. use any of your current router, with or without dd-wrt or vlan taggin, just setup PPPoE profile will do!

2. if no extra router and don't want to spend extra again, then can consider to flash the DIR-615 with dd-wrt [see below Riz's guideline] and setup PPPoE will do!
