Btw, can you help me ask if they have a clear communication on whether existing Streamyx/Landline users migrating to Unifi can be migrated automatically + retain old phone number, instead of having to cancel separately? E.g. My dad has been a TM user for more than 30 years and he had to cancel the 30 year old home phone number + streamyx account when migrating. This also had to be done separately. It's sad losing that old number and will my dad be considered just a 1 year old account? It might be too late for me, but I'm sure other new sign ups would appreciate this feature.

Confirmed, cannot retain old number.

You can keep the STB inside your garage if you don't want to watch it.... biggrin.gif
But for sure they will activate the IPTV service for you...

I believe this has something to do with the phones running on different systems. My new office ISDN lines could not retain the number that we used to have on the analog line.

Anyway, I think it is not wise to let go of the fixed line anyway. The VOIP is unstable at the moment. Now you see it, now you don't ! Also, the phone goes down without power unless you run on UPS.

I am using Dlink Wifi, and have been resetting the Zte VDSL modem and router for so many times. IPTV is dead, so is the Voip dial tone. On the ZTE modem, the DSL light is on though, but internet keeps blinking and the VOIP  is off.

Called up Unifi helpline... such crap service.
*
That's some serious connection problems you got there. I'm in Subang Jaya and so far no problems. I guess better wait for the TM technicians to take a look at your problems.

Can they at least automate the process? E.g. If customer requests, auto cancel the old Streamyx + Landline when applying for Unifi.

No one knows yet. Nothing is finalised. According to the TM ppl, they might implement it June next year.

Hi , i'm new user of VIP5 package starts today.
Just realized my bank not supporting payment of the unifi bill yet (public bank). Guess i have to resort to posonline. Hope it's not troublesome when it comes.

After few months, both my BTU and router got fried due to lightning storm yesterday..but within 24 hour it been replaced...2 thumbs up smile.gif

I asked the technician and he told me that BTU is not lifetime warranty and there's no black n white about it..Is that true??
*
SIGH, same case... my BTU just died today..... just made a report. Hope they can replace it ASAP as well. What BTU are u using? the crappy black huawei BTU? Did they replace back with the exact BTU? wink.gif

Sigh, 3 days without Unifi... Technician says will come to have a look.

Wonder if I can write to TM to claim for rebate? I am paying RM200 + per month for this service and 3 days is about RM20 ....
