Guys... any update on DIR-615 G2 with DD-WRT?

There is very limited information about this router revision on internet.

TM Contractor guy is handling over and final testing the UniFi at my apartment

Definite will use Biz5 as startup :-)

RM 199 per month should be okay for unlimited usage and no fair usage policy . Screw iptv watching Astro Beyond much more better

The box

Attached Image

The testing BTU with battery small to power it to test link from the box to modem

Attached Image

Getting reading for loss signal below 25 is good

After few months, both my BTU and router got fried due to lightning storm yesterday..but within 24 hour it been replaced...2 thumbs up smile.gif

I asked the technician and he told me that BTU is not lifetime warranty and there's no black n white about it..Is that true??

now i think our unifi connection is very depending on the ip we got...

i tried to recycle connection and got 3 different ip with 3 diferent performance

while 1 ip is damn good on P2P, the rest 2 is so-so even can consider bad...

and 2 ip r giving me location status in brunei...

Nothing wrong with the speedtest.net or whatever showing Brunei, just their geolocation info is outdated.

Saw them doing the same thing in Keramat back alleys as well. I'm guessing the service will be available early December?

Regarding IPTV, I'm thinking of the same thing. FTA channels only? Rather keep my ASTRO and go for Unlimited package as well. Still contemplating between VIP20 and BIZ5.

Hello.

Today my Unifi is a bit weird.
Seems like I have given fixed IP even though I subscribe VIP5.
I try reconnect my connection many times but still assigned same IP address.
I rebooted my router also got same IP address.

Anybody else facing this?
*
I'm also noticing this.
Before this I think I got 112.xxx or something, but now all I get is 110.159

Anyone of you experiencing the same thing?

I too restarted router AND modem its the same thing.

ok, i have a serious question.
after researching on unifi modem (DR-615), i got that this modem is crap and
will change it when the TM is out of stock...
so my installation for VIP20 is on 21/11/2010,
am i able to get the new modem? (NOT DIR615)

VIP20 subscribers will get back the premium channels that were promised earlier. I asked Unifi's CS and they have no idea about this. Anyone else asked them about it?

To quote the PDF ..

QUOTE
Unfortunately there has been some confusion in the market regarding this matter. Thus, to reward our “early-bird” VIP20 subscribers who have purchased and installed VIP20 package before November 1st 2010, TM will include the 8 Premium Channels provided during the launch as part of VIP20 subscription package. So, for all VIP20 subscribers who have purchase and installed VIP20 in their homes, before November 1st, 2010, they will be able to continue to enjoy all the 14 Free channel and 8 Premium channels.

Hmm WTF is that? They get to choose which area to install/commence first, plus covering all other areas 'very fast' and they expect the rest which are not 'early-birds' to pay for those 8 Premium channels? Very funny laugh.gif
