I've been using Samsung feeds since the day I got the phone. Actually I don't see the lag as described in XDA forum. If you come from Windows Mobile PDA group of users, you'll definitely feel that SGS is fast.

It appears that Samsung can fix it.so is there any particular batch to avoid or is there any way to identify whether the phone has that disabled or not? There is no way to avoid. From the experience which owners bought 2 SGS at same time, where their IMEI only differ by 1 digit, one works while the other doesn't. Hence no batch to recognize. From a small group of statistic shows that 33% of the devices are affected. |

Work means can use 3 button recovery.
3 button recovery = Vol UP+Home+Power = allow recovery when the phone brick = allow updating from update.zip = allow clearing cache You won't need it unless you brick your phone. In normal operating condition, this screen can be invoked by ADB with "reboot recovery" command. |

QUOTE(angel-girl @ Sep 16 2010, 03:50 PM) The password is clearly stated on the samfirmware site - http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9000.htmEither 'samsung-firmwares.com' for older firmwares or 'samfirmware.com' for the newer releases. |

After using for a day. I suggest holding out on flashing to JPH if you are on JG8 or similar fw.
Slightly too laggy for my liking, and can't seem to uninstall crapware. |
