Sometime this month is a time frame that has been discussed.
We'll know in time. |

Do you need to save just the apps? Or all the data including how your home screen looks?
I suggest only to do backup of apps with market link. On hindsight, I use appbrain now and not titanium backup anymore because I end up having to add back widgets again. All I do now to save time is to use shootme to get images of all my home screens and then redo them again. Saves time I find. |

QUOTE(jujx @ Sep 6 2010, 11:10 PM) If you compare notification between ios and android. ios lose on this, notification is one of their biggest weakness notification bar is the top bar on android systems, pull down for full list view if there are many notifications of the same kindQUOTE(fongkarseong @ Sep 6 2010, 11:11 PM) SMS/MMS can use titanium, there are other apps in market that can help you do that too.Contact list -> I exported my contact to .vcf and imported it to google, now I use google to maintain my contact list so no worries whatever happens |

QUOTE(AceOfSpades @ Sep 6 2010, 11:22 PM) Can you turn on and off your notification settings from that notification bar? Notifications are app dependent. Apps which have notification usually have a setting that allows you to turn it off. Is the push notifications on the SGS reliable and fast? Have you guys encountered notifications which come in late? Or do they normally come in to your phone promptly? Push notification again is also app dependent, I have no issues with the notifications at all, it comes in when whatever I'm supposed to receive comes in. I hope this answers your question. Added on September 7, 2010, 12:33 am QUOTE(AuxX @ Sep 7 2010, 12:05 AM) Anyone know how to on and off the 3g? (using digi) To turn off 3G, select use 2G network only.my mobile network settings doesnt give me any option to tick =.=" 3G is always an option, 2G is the fallback. Need to wait at least 1 year before we see actual products on shelves with that processor I guess.
Added on September 7, 2010, 3:21 pm QUOTE(lOrDjAbU @ Sep 7 2010, 03:17 PM) any local dealer or LYN Member selling those SGP? would like to buy but don't have ebay or credit card. Quality wise cannot compare.BTW have u tried DCMUGEN Matte SP for SGS? any difference with SGP oleophobic? The cutouts on the SGP are perfect, whereas the DCmugen one isn't and doesn't seem so refined. I still haven't used my oleophobic ones from SGP yet, I'm using the one that came with the SGP case I got. Which is the ultra clear. No scratches thus far as I can tell. And very very clear. As good as not having anything on in terms of visual clarity. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Sep 7 2010, 03:21 PM |

cutouts meaning the holes for earspeaker and the home button.
I suppose cutouts is a very normal term to use for screen protectors, do a bit of reading? This post has been edited by MYstombox: Sep 7 2010, 03:40 PM |

QUOTE(lOrDjAbU @ Sep 7 2010, 03:43 PM) oh i see. thanks for clarifying. SGP oleophobic works well in this respect. It's clear and it's oil repellent to a certain extent. and sorry for being a n00b. lol well, about visibility. do you know any SP that are clear type but at the same type anti-fingerprints or oil resistant? does SGP oleophobic fits with all of that criteria? BTW, thanks for ur tip earlier (using Minfreemanager). it really works! And for the minfreemanager - don't thank me, credit the app creator. I merely found the values that worked well for me on the SGS. akmarizam - someone selling casemate + screen protector for RM90 delivered in lowyat classified. I will buy from him once my case gone case. lol akira - we need to see implementation and whether battery life can reach the SGS in terms of similar usage. Are you rooted? If you are, follow my steps on configuring the built in memory manager. That will ensure your system works smoother.

QUOTE(NahseK312 @ Sep 7 2010, 05:56 PM) silicone casing - get from derrickmoo, PDAir versionQUOTE(JustForFun @ Sep 7 2010, 06:03 PM) Not necessarily, it depends on how they integrate the whole package. Tegra 2 on the toshiba folio looks like fail :s no market access, lowish resolution, kinda sad battery capacity. But then again, we'd have to see the final product. |

Reflash isn't necessary, a factory reset probably is.
Added on September 8, 2010, 9:18 pmAnyway if you have titanium backup you can restore that particular app. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Sep 8 2010, 09:18 PM |

QUOTE(lOrDjAbU @ Sep 8 2010, 09:55 PM) This is what i've done. Just reinstall those apps that you removed, since you said you've done a backup on them.I back up all those apps that i want to remove. Then i uninstall those apps. Then i reset my phone. Got an error related to google (google app i think) I ignore, continue using phone. Then, i want to update some apps. Stuck at "starting download" After that, i restore those apps that i uninstalled. Reset. Still got that error. I think what i'm going to do now is wait for official froyo. Thanks anyway. |

if you want prepaid internet, isn't hotlink a better deal?
Hotlink broadband per week RM25, you get full speed and 2GB xfer. |
