i wish im geeky enough to toying my phone. idunno all kind of rooting/flash stuff for phones damn!
its just too risky for me to do it since im a noob aghhhh...just waiting for the official release for froyo
and transfer via kies lol
Don't worry, i think there is tons of us had been thro ur stage, ie newbies to the android and not sure about flashed, roots, 3 button reset/download... all this come with experience, one u start doing it, and u will love it.

Wait for Kies... forget it la.. kies is a useless piece of shxt... i used to think 'omg... no using kies ar.. how la...' until i start to get the hang of odin, update.zip.. i dun bother for kies anymore, infact, removed from my laptop.

Remembered:
what the worse that can happen to you phone if you flashed and bricked...? Get it replace from SC with no extra cost on the phone.

After using JPH for since it came online, I don't really like this version.

Firstly, the internal memory control is screwed, it closes my programs when I am using them. And no, it happens even when I left the memory kill levels stock.

Secondly, it's generally sluggish in nature.
Thirdly, I can't uninstall crapware that came along with the firmware.
E.g. buddies now, daily briefing.
Last, the wifi finds it difficult to lock on to certain signals. Like some coffee shops that have free wifi, got problems connecting to them. The radio turns on, obtaining IP and just doesn't get IP address.

Furthermore, I also realised that if I were to connect to WDS access points, sometimes it won't connect if the phone senses two access points. It just won't lock. Only when I move out of range of 1 access points will I get an IP address.

So in summary, no password, WEP, WPA-PSK all give me some problems in one way or another.

At other times, it seems to work fine.

Did you guys download Krazy Kart? Lol.. It's fun. Has online multiplayer too. I was trying it over the internet just now.

Added on October 2, 2010, 10:03 pmI applied Richthofen's latest fix and my phone has got recovery mode already. No problem encountered. The documentation was very well prepared, including the 3 seconds wait is correct.

Not sure if everyone knows about this.
I just somehow got into a different swype keyboard the other day.
After doing some reading on the tutorial on swype you can actually swype from the swype logo (bottom left) to the SYM (next to swype logo) key to access to another keyboard.
just wanna share with u all smile.gif

Well, lucky for us, our built-in Samsung keyboard has the arrow keys as well. Unlike my friend's HTC Desire, where he has to install a separate keyboard app. I asked him about the trackball sensor for directional, he said "useless". And I thought why wouldn't we have one on our phone. *shrug*

Hi,
When I try to download apps from market, sometimes it keep end up with a 'download unsuccessful' notification.

It sometimes ok after I restart the phone, but sometimes it just go on for a few days.

Anybody else have the same issue?

Anybody know the reason / solution to it?

Many thanks smile.gif
