QUOTE(sasaug @ Oct 12 2011, 09:07 PM) Somehow I feel this new architecture is just a beginning for AMD. They say it scales pretty well when u go into more cores etc. This was just the 1st batch of a new design. They got more plans and stuff ahead so perhaps, that was their plan. Seen the benchmark that utilises all threads? Still below i7 2600K. So I've no idea how a new new design can beat SB-E or IB.

Kinda confuse, does "Bulldozer" processor include graphic chips? like the SB does.

waited so long for this bulldozer jst to find there's not so much difference performance with my X6 haish...dissapointed wait, Power consumption chugged alot of watts under full load QUOTE quote taken from AMD on BD "AMD also shared with us that Windows 7 isn't really all that optimized for Bulldozer, Windows 7's scheduler isn't aware of Bulldozer's architecture and as a result sort of places threads wherever it sees fit, regardless of optimal placement Windows 8 is expected to correct this" This post has been edited by Beatmasta: Oct 13 2011, 03:50 AM

I'm using Athlon X2 4200+ ... runs most apps ok but not as fast as I want sometimes sluggish
was hoping bulldozer will be impressive... but its ok AMD try again I will wait for Bulldozer2, should be out early next year right?
I don care about having the fastest, just fast enough to run everything available today @ good price...
hope "AMD the smarter choice" will get back its meaning soon! NEVER INTEL, I will wait AMD just get busy and make a nice chip Ktkxbye
what about the improvements seen in windows 8?
what if bulldozer is not really bad, just that the software needs updates to use the new functions/hardware acceleration/whatever that is in the processor??
theres hope for some recovery?

Bulldozer actually looks good as it inline to the kind of workloads I do often - lots of integer calculation.
The only disappointment is the power consumption.

hey guys,i really need your opinions..i'm clueless on what to do now,i already have a 990fx board for months now,i dont wanna have to change to sb coz then i'd have to buy a new board as well and thats gonna cost a lot..should i just buy a bulldozer just to complete my setup,or should i just change to intel? its still gonna be an upgrade for me tho, currently using a phenom ii x3 710. -was really hoping bulldozer would blow my mind, but it didnt This post has been edited by najmul: Oct 13 2011, 08:09 AM

I'd stick with Amd Phenom II unless there's a big improvement in gaming on the bulldozer which when it came time to play games the BD FX range was really no better than the Phenom II. Making me to wonder how well is the BD 6100 FX performs against Phenom II X6 This post has been edited by Beatmasta: Oct 13 2011, 08:30 AM

Wait a while for the price to drop to level that consider fair compare to US.

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Oct 12 2011, 05:28 PM) http://news.softpedia.com/news/AMD-Bulldoz...ps-203267.shtmlThis could be the reason. It was initially running @ 2.5GHz (3.5GHz turbo mode). The performance could be so bad until it did not make a single sense to market it at all. Then AMD should've stopped the hype telling people that it's a FX revive.. AMD keep claiming that the performance will be mind blowing.. Yes, is indeed mindblowing, in a different way though.

AMD always comes back ...
