AFAIK, you need to get a new mobo for AM3+

But for AM3+ mobos, can support AM3 procs

It is because with lesser cores, the better the chances of getting higher clocks

It is about the clockspeeds, not the amount of cores smile.gif

Apparently ASUS CH5's BIOS is being blamed for the performance drop, we will see later how it goes

Asrock 990FX Extreme4 already shown us that BD can rival the 2600k in gaming, awaiting other boards
