My friend's E8400 idle's at 60C+ and the moment he starts Orthos, temp warning comes up. I guess it's the dead thermal sensor on chip again.

the new steppings apparently have a better thermal sensor however i think the problem will still be there because some people are reporting really low temps that doesnt even make sense haha

QUOTE(uzairi @ Sep 2 2008, 09:32 AM) That Level 3 Cache is a bug from cpuz i guess.. Another thing to take note is the orthos, min fft should be 8k and max should be 32k. That way it will stress the proc even more under my test with E8400 and Q6600. E6300 procs have no problem with the default max fft which is 32k. Not sure whether orthos needs an update on newer procs or not because stressing it at 8k only would not stress it that much even if you run hundreds of loop if u noticed.. thanks! noted.

my E8500 E0, running at 4Ghz @ 1.25vbios/1.232vdroop...vdrop didnt notice...idle around 43-44c...load at 60c...the room has no ac... is it a normal temp for 45nm running at that speed/voltage?

Hi guys, I'm abit lost in the Intel OC world at the moment. I noticed that the demand is for the E0 stepping for the 45nm procs, may i know if there's a link to show wat r the codes for all the procs with E0 ? Like the E8500, Q9550 and etc. Sorry guys, uncle google was friendly today.

Hi all, recently i just overclocked my E6600 to 3Ghz, (333Mhz * 9 )
however in CPU-z the FSB:RAM ratio is 2:3 which my RAM running at 800Mhz I heard that the ratio 1:1 is better performance, is that true ? Can i know how to set the ratio to 1:1: ? (the ram option is 533,667,800 ONLY)
I have tried to set the RAM running at 667, but it seem failed to boot zzz
FYI, I am using 4x1GB kingston 800Mhz value RAM and MSI p965 neo board =.=
