hey bro...pls use realtemp 2.75 or coretemp 0.99.3 as ur temp reader...those have their TJmax correctly adjustted already to 100...

as for the orthos...its is normal bro... orthos will always the speed of the default multiplier of 9.5...so its normal thumbup.gif

Best ram for overclocking quaddies and duallies are the same. Just that each mobo and proc have different max fsb limit so the higher the ram can be clocked the better.

Its best to get a pair of RAM capable of anything from 333mhz to 600mhz.

He's using Giga P35 DS3 which needs higher vcore to compensate the high vdrop and vdroop. smile.gif

Try to orthos your proc, and slowly decrease the vcore if its stable.

high vcore = more heat

i dont know where can i ask this question.. so here it is..

im using e6550.. currently at home.. when i was in college,i oc my proc to 3.4 vcore 1.35.. all stable.. run orthos for 12 hours.. temp when orthos-ing is 57c.. at college,im using lcd.

now holiday,go back home.. bring back my pc.. when i wanna switch it on,it cant boot.. at home,im using crt.. the 3.4ghz cannot be used.. so i reset, and set my saved oc profile which is 3.30.. luckily can boot.

so,the question is.. is crt monitor makes the oc problem? now at 3.30ghz,vcore 1.3 is not really stable.. keep crashing app and games.. haiz..
