3ghz Q6600 and 3.9ghz E8500.
multi core supported games are not widely available yet so that benchmark is not taken into account for the time being until they the games that truly benefit multi core is widely available and supported by most of the game makers.

my previous q6600, 3.6ghz on 1.425v
as for power consumption... imagine ure playing game, stressing 2 cores for core2duo... and stressing 2 core for core2quad..., which 1 saves more power?

core2duo saves more power bro since load power is lesser even at same voltage.

if open for 24/7, e8400 is better choice.
before i use q9450 4ghz 1.312v open 24/7, tnb charge me rm3xx
now change to e8400 3ghz 0.976v, rm150
Nice volt for 4ghz and the diff is quite high i can see
