Question:
My Q6600 currently is running at 400x8 @ 1.375v.
When I run Prime95 for Small FFTs, it brings no error for half an hour.
But when I run the Blend test, the error comes out in 5 minutes like that.
Roughly what can cause error like that?

My setup is:
Q6600 @ 400x8 @ 1.375v
Corsair XMS2 @ 5-5-5-15 @ 400x2.0 @ 1.8v
GA-G31M-ES2L
CM Extreme Power 500w

I don't plan to go for further overclocking, so I guess my rig suppose to be enough already.

due to the mobo chipset, u should OC by multiplier 9x356fsb.
if your ram is 4gb kit, mayb u need to increase the vcore to 2v

yea i agreed too.. modular only looks COOL!!!! haha.. im getting my st560w soon.. my bank already dry up.. =(

modular psu does help in cable management and a good modular psu will not have bad rail compare to a non modular psu.
btw, i have use cm extreme 380w psu before it really suck in +12v rail. but it does run vr stable for half year or more 24/7 usage, even pair with hd3850 and x1950xt biggrin.gif

That's not even a truepower psu to start with, that explains the sucky-ness of the psu.

i am not saying that is a true power psu, but just sharing the experience when using that psu, since evoangel is using that psu.
i am saying modular have strong +12v rail as non modular, for sure i am saying when both were true power PSU.
what is the point comparing a proton with BMW biggrin.gif

modular would have weaker 12V rails because of the interconnects, result based on same model of tier 1 psu.

Just wana ask,
Among the E8400, E8500 and E8600,
which one is the best to overclock?
uhm, I would like to little overclock on stock voltage,
means like which one the best to clock or go to best speed at stock voltage?

and which among them have the best temperature?
I am thinking to move from Q6600 back to E8X00...

of cos e8600 is better among the other 2... but y u wan change from q6600 to e8x00??? its such a waste if u plan jz to overclock... 3.6ghz on q6600 is good enuf liao... i'd rather go for 3.6ghz q6600 than a 4ghz e8600...

I think better if u stay with the q6600, oc it a bit would do.

Btw latter is the best among the group.

im sure he want a power efficient proc thats why he ask for the best overclockable proc on stock voltage.

and a 3.6ghz Q6600 use a lot of power.
