well, looks like my mobo is not compatible with hwmonitor... but thanks to that, i decided to manually set my pll, vtt and nb voltage... and now my temp is less than 65c load, as compared to last time 71c load
placed pll value to 1.6 if not mistaken, vtt 1.2 and nb 1.2 or 1.3v cant remember, which 1 is the one causing high temp for proc ya? izzit vtt? |

vista dun eat all memory... instead they cache it... i would say thanks to this caching, opening applications seems faster to me in vista than xp
btw, u dun reli have to clock ur hyperx to 800mhz if u wan 1:1, and honestly i dun reli care bout 1:1, its not like the ram will always perform at maximum speed a 1066mhz ram with 1600fsb is faster than 1600fsb with 800mhz ram, keep that in mind added: it seems might be getting bsod due to insufficient vdimm.. i thought hyperx 1066 is 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1v? try pumping to 2.1v or 2.2v This post has been edited by iBenQ: Feb 17 2009, 02:36 AM |

QUOTE(evoangel @ Feb 17 2009, 02:39 AM) oh.. u really mean this caching thingy is NORMAL?? phew.. sigh of relief.. i tot is some sort of stupid error lor.. but how bout my bsod? overclock problem? occt pass like flying colors.. lol.. 3dmark 10k points.. go to system properties, go to advance system settings, go to startup and recovery settings, untick the "automatically restart" checkboxits random like shit.. this afternoon got 3 times.. but now dun have.. and the funny thing is i only get bsod when surfing and doing light applications.. i play Far Cry for an hour no problem wor.. damn funny lor.. lol the next time u got urself a bsod, jot down the code and error message otherwise it'll be hard to find the cause of ur bsod just by telling me ur settings... first, try to open lots of application that uses alot of ram, if u get a bsod cos of this, it could be ram problem |

QUOTE(cschun86 @ Feb 27 2009, 11:52 AM) Just wana ask, of cos e8600 is better among the other 2... but y u wan change from q6600 to e8x00??? its such a waste if u plan jz to overclock... 3.6ghz on q6600 is good enuf liao... i'd rather go for 3.6ghz q6600 than a 4ghz e8600...Among the E8400, E8500 and E8600, which one is the best to overclock? uhm, I would like to little overclock on stock voltage, means like which one the best to clock or go to best speed at stock voltage? and which among them have the best temperature? I am thinking to move from Q6600 back to E8X00... |
