If we already hold a Standard Chartered Bank Priority Banking Visa Infinite, then we are not eligible to apply for the newly launched Preferred World Mastercard.
If you choose the Preferred World Mastercard, then you have to cancel your Visa Infinite and downgrade status to Preferred Banking. Meaning we are unable to hold both card at the same time, and the Preferred Banking rewards seems to be better than their Priority Banking rewards. This is what my RM told me, anyone have idea with it? |

Will he/she be able to to apply for the Preferred World MasterCard now considering he/she has canceled his/her VISA Infinite ? No, it's either one you can enjoy only. Same bank but manage by different department. If you are Priority Banking status, you only eligible for Visa Infinite. If you are Preferred Banking status, you only eligible for World Mastercard. This 2 type of banking status cannot be cross over with each other. Anyway it's my RM which told me. Maybe anyone here have any idea? Please share. Thank you. |

QUOTE(jack2 @ Aug 26 2010, 07:53 AM) OCBC application can be submitted through website? I thought website one, you just fill up and print it out? Hahah i meant the contact us form in the website as well I filled and submitted the contact us in OCBC website and then someone contacted me lo.. Great, you are very fast and I think the first person here to have it and started use it... Didn't know I am the first. But so far no problems with the card. However according to CS, the rebate is based on statement month, so we only get a RM120 cap from Aug X to Sept X, not RM120 for Aug and RM120 for Sept. |

QUOTE(zenquix @ Aug 26 2010, 02:15 PM) I don't know how I found the website. But after a few clicks, the website turned to new design already (which is advertising 5% rebate). Initially I wanted to get a Great Eastern card, because of its 3% rebate if pay by "Easi-Pay". But then I found that their annual fee waiver condition is kinda strict. They demand a yearly spend of RM18k. Oh hell, I don't I can achieve that. This Titanium card comes with much loose fee waiver condition. Annual fee waiver : 12 swipes yearly GST waiver : min RM10k yearly spending Although I don't think I will swipe 10k in a year, but its 5% rebate can be used to offset, morethan enough. |

QUOTE(PJusa @ Aug 26 2010, 02:52 PM) may i ask: is the payback by OCBC titanium limited or not - i dont see any caps on the website. RM50/month starting from Jan next year. There is still cap now on how much cash back you can earn for the time being but it is much higher. The information is available on the website. Just check the T&C and FAQ of the card. |
