If we already hold a Standard Chartered Bank Priority Banking Visa Infinite, then we are not eligible to apply for the newly launched Preferred World Mastercard.
If you choose the Preferred World Mastercard, then you have to cancel your Visa Infinite and downgrade status to Preferred Banking. Meaning we are unable to hold both card at the same time, and the Preferred Banking rewards seems to be better than their Priority Banking rewards. This is what my RM told me, anyone have idea with it? |

How about if one cancel his/her VISA Infinite credit card but continue to be a Priority Banking customer and at the same time opening a Preferred Banking account ? Will he/she be able to to apply for the Preferred World MasterCard now considering he/she has canceled his/her VISA Infinite ? No, it's either one you can enjoy only. Same bank but manage by different department. If you are Priority Banking status, you only eligible for Visa Infinite. If you are Preferred Banking status, you only eligible for World Mastercard. This 2 type of banking status cannot be cross over with each other. Anyway it's my RM which told me. Maybe anyone here have any idea? Please share. Thank you. |

Anyone with the Standard Chartered Priority Banking Visa Infinite successfully apply for the Preferred Banking World Mastercard?
I check with my RM but he had no idea, call their CS also same. They claim that the product is too new and the product guideline is yet to be ready. This post has been edited by JJBerry: Aug 31 2010, 08:06 PM |

Anyone got the info UOB going to launch Preferred World Mastercard and Visa Signature soon in Malaysia?
HSBC Visa Platinum only need RM100K annual income to apply, looks like they are going to launch new premium credit card too. |

Anyone can confirm If we already holding Standard Chartered Priority Banking VI, can we still apply for the Preferred Banking WMC?
Looks like the own staffs also blur with their own product, some told me need to cancel the VI then only can apply the WMC. Some told me actually can hold both card without problem. Called their CS they are not sure, e-mail them and no reply. Ask the relationship manager they claim product to new, will get back to me once the management set the product guideline. |

QUOTE(winner @ Sep 18 2010, 02:31 PM) I received my OCBC Titanium MC on 7/9 and started using the card on 8/9. However, until today I have yet to receive the security pin number. For SCB, when the time I sign up for their Priority Banking VI, it took about 1 month to received the physical card. On a separate note, my SCB e-statement shows that RM50 service tax was charged on my new Preferred Banking World MC on 8/9. But I have yet to receive the physical card. |

QUOTE(Veda @ Sep 19 2010, 01:14 PM) An "informed" friend told me limiting a consumer to credit cards from two banks, and raising the minimum annual income requirements to RM24k is "very likely". I think limiting 2 cards from 2 bank only for new applicant, for existing cardholder I don't think so.If you guys and girls are limited to only cards from two banks, which banks will you choose? I'll pick OCBC Titanium. The other card will be either Standard Chartered, HSBC or CIMB Direct Access. If it is true, a few card issuer might facing big trouble! |

False information given by SCB RM and CS. They told me we cannot hold both Priority Banking VI and Preferred Banking WMC at the same time(they denied to let me apply when I visit their branch) but I faxed my WMC application direct to their card centre and my application approved in just 1 day.
By the way,I still hold their Priority Banking VI........ |

QUOTE(winner @ Sep 22 2010, 03:18 PM) Talking about SCB Preferred Banking World MC, this SCB really pissed me of. As shown in the e-statement, RM50 service tax was charged on 8/9. I received the security pin number on 21/9. However, until today I have not received the physical card yet. I called SCB several times and was given the reply that they are still in the midst of issuing the card. Wow.....As I will make a big swipe within these few days, I will not accept this card if I only receive it after using other CCs to make the payment. 8/9 approved until now still not receive the card. Mine approved on 16/9,looks like need to wait until middle of Oct only can get my card. |

QUOTE(boonsin23 @ Sep 22 2010, 07:32 PM) Mine was approved and service tax was charged on 15/09, but I already received the card on 20/09 (after deduct 16/09 public holiday and 18-19/09 weekend) then mine was surprisingly fast. Mind to share the credit limit they granted?According to my relationship manager, the Samsonite Bag actually needs to spend more than RM4000 (instead of RM3000 on their web) RM4000 x 2 = 8000points 8000points x 3 months = 24000 points 24000 points + 30000 point upon 1st usage on the card = 54000 points, Samsonite X Blade Luggage. No idea they will increase the credit limit or just combined with the existing SCB card? |

RHB Islamic just launched their new credit card-i(Gold & Platinum)
By the way, minimum credit limit for RHB Visa Infinite only RM100,000. Few of my fiends get invitation from RHB for this card as their current RHB credit card limit are RM100,000. However, RHB Visa Infinite card did not open for public to apply. It is by invitation only. If not, going to apply one because the card design is cool..... |
