Get a decent amount of Roaches (if you're still on Hatchery tech), and throw down 3-5 Spine Crawlers.

However if you are at Lair tech already, just get Hydras and Roaches. Gateway units just drop like flies in front of Hydralisks.

Arrghh, i always miss out using hydras..
Usually i go for lings + roaches..
But yeah, adding some hydras would be the best counter for this..

you couldnt blame me.....after losing 2 str8 ladder against diamond zerg at blistering sand....the map control is just insane!!!! i really tried everything in my textbook (did everything other than BC and ghost) but i think map is really a factor...

hw's the zerg player over there? did they cheese a lot or pretty much standard build but with better micro?

smartleader, actually after discussing with my practice partners, maybe 1 rax fast expand can get by this mutaling on blistering sand and scrap station....if they play 13 gas 14 pool then fast hatch...havent really try it out yet but marine play against this early speed is not that effective, i dno what luck i get, today met 4 zergs on 4 zerg favouring map, scrap and blistering wtfness won 1 only.....if its lost temple, steppes or xel naga acvern, zerg, laugh in your face =D map is really a factor =// hope blizzard can update map pool frequently like brood war iccup...

I do think Zerg is the strongest race now, they can pump out unit in no time. How often do you see Terran n Protoss successful defend their base when enemy's army is already storm inside that base? Zerg can

thats all lie..ur not even a zerg player..strongest race ? i doubt that..try to play zerg against T or P at any higher lvl game there is no fun..sad but true the biggest problem Z player encounter is not sure how to use thier larvea..shud they make army or drone..risk is always there

both GSL 1 and 2 winner are Zerg. beat that. in higher lvl game protoss is the weakest race.

that's why we can see the trend now, where T or P will always do early aggression when a Z player is bz droning. Because when drones is fully saturated on all the expansion and creep is spreading, it's a GG..

well,that's the fun of it....the 1st 4mins would determine them having walled off their exits with either
1.need 200 minerals to block ramp with depots with min. time of ~60sec, or
2.need 250 minerals to block ramp with 1 depot,1 rax with min. time of ~90sec (praise the new patch for requiring depot b4 rax)

not to mention the required SCVs to gather minerals & building them

as opposed to 6-pooling,where
1.need 200 minerals to build pool, min. time of ~30sec estimated with the initial 50 minerals at start of game
2.~25sec to morph in 6 lings for 150 minerals
3.storming their base with those lings as soon as morphing complete

well,it's a hit or miss thing nowadays.it all requires perfect timing+small map+big ramp to cover (such as scrap station)

to be frank, the reason why zerg are dying to early pressure is cause they are freaking greedy!!!
hatch first then dying to 2 rax and QQ-ing terran is OP?
why not go 1 base roach into expand?
or speedling expand...
whenever a toss do a 15nexus and loose, i am telling myself he deserve it for being greedy...
zerg need to adapt especially considering roaches are so much better against marine...

I am talking bout army of course. Typically, mid game Zerg will have at least 3 hatchery. that is f*king 3x7 units to be produce at the same time. How bout high level game? 4 to 5 hatchery? thats insanely crazy

Excluding a crazy APM guy like Foxer... zerg can usually defend it with their drone quite well + zergling rushing out later. After that, they can just droning up without any loses. A player with my APM caliber, A zerg player can do 2 hatch yet I cant did much harm to him either. What I mean at the end is that, this game is create in such a way that Zerg greed is ok but not Protoss and Terran.
