Hi Scotland007, I have already pass your information to our RD to analyse. And sorry for the late reply as we didn't work on Saturday and Sunday.

Will let you know ASAP.

From the image given by you, can you change the Channel bandwidth at Wireless. section to 20/40MHz for both the band?

Thank you

Hi ASUSmy,

Yesterday I am having problem with the Unifi service of which my Asus RT-n13U Rev B1 was unable to connect to remote server and I have called Unifi technical which they claimed their line and service is ok. This thing happen suddenly without any sign. I have reboot, restore and reset connection on the Asus router but still unable to connect to internet. Any suggestion/ comment for this incident?

btw, I am using the custom firmware 2.0.2.5g which came with the router when i purchased it one year ago.

Thank you for your assistance.

I am using the old TM Dlink after my RT N13U became sick and T Link Homeplug in a three phase wiring house and so far I have to say it perfect.

Hi MikeX, you can try upgrade to firmware version 2.0.2.5o with the following link.

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLan...3U_B1_2025o.zip

if problem still persist, try sending the router for warranty.

Thank you.

You may not realize this, but this is not Asus Router support forum. Asusmy is gracious enough to spend his precious time helping out unlike other networking brand which i don't see a single rep in this forum helping out forumers.

You have a problem with the router, don't snap and quickly condemn the product. Go back to the shop and ask for a replacement or send for warranty. Or go straight to distributor and issue your case. Not happy with Asus firmware, dump it for 3rd party firmware. Adapt and learn.

For your information, the official Asus Route hasn't responded either, also i have tried the 3rd party firmware route.

What is annoying is paying for an apparent high end router which at the end of the day doesn't live up to it's reputation and now i have to further waste my time by sending it in for warranty which is a complete pain when you require internet coverage. The router is 8 months old so the shop won't do a replacement. I thought a forum allowed you to voice your opinion or are you one of those that doesn't believe in free speech?

I have recently installed Unifi. After getting my unifi router id, I have configured my router Asus RT-N16 to use Unifi with the latest firmware. Think it is x.260. After overnight usage, when I tried to login the wireless was no where to be found. Later I realize, the router has restored itself to factory mode. I guess it has crashed. Anyone facing the same problem? Also coverage from different section of the house seems unstable.

Hi dchk, can you try to reset to factory default manually by pressing the reset button on the back of the router for 5sec and release?

Once finish resetting, please reconfigure the router and test to see the problem still exist or not.

Thank you

I went for RT N13U becoz TM router started to hang and lose connection. Now, i forced to use TM's router and the old router functioning properly with DC for more than 1 month. Wonder if DC is actually service providers problem.

Calling All ASUS RT-N16 owners. Can anyone confirm and support a few issues i'm having?

Background:
Firmware: AsusWRT Merlin edition latest one (Nov 2012)
Hardware: A1 version

1. Transferring from PC (wired) -> Laptop (wireless), i'm only getting max 9.5MByte/s transfers.
Background: default on all wireless settings except "N-Only" is selected, b/g protection is disabled, WPA2-AES authentication

2. Using "Download Master" usb application but i cannot connect to it from WAN.
Background: have enabled port forwarding for 8081 and 9091 to redirect back to router and also enabled WAN is checked but i am never able to access either "Download Master" either through transmission remote or through router web interface from a WAN address. i can however connect from LAN perfectly.

3. Using any build version of DD-WRT, i have a degrade in connection speed for both LAN and WiFi with WiFi being most significant as my transfer drops from 9.5MByte/s to 6ishMByte/s. Anyone else facing this as well?
