Think about business owners and companies. Do you think they will use YES, due to their heavy use of internet?
*
obviously they don't target the companies and business. In fact i never come across companies that use mobile internet(p1, digi bb, celcom bb, maxis bb) as their main internet providers in their office. laugh.gif

even wired broadband providers have different plans and charges for business.

I am quiet confused...they show can do calls with mobile phone...but how? All i see is that you need to have their USB modems to be plugged into a PC...there's no SIM card or what. How to use the phone to make voice call or dial internet?
*
wimax basic phone will be available in december, android wimax phones will be introduced in 2011.
for the time being you have to use YES LIFE app for calls/sms.
yes it is similar to skype, by right calling amongst YES users should be free right?

RM399 for Huddle. Rm99 for Go. RM50 for activation fees, no such thing as RM10 for stamp duty. No prices yet for the Zoom or the Buzz since they're launching in December.

The Yes ID portal has been down because of the DoS attack that happened before, they had to disable the portal to stop the breach further. The only way to check your balance is calling their support number. I've topped up RM100 for mine, and I am as uneasy as the next guy because I cannot check my balance left.

The activation is taken from RM99 you paid for Yes GO.

so they will return the rebate for you RM10 for 5 month only. Using prereg id and I can login to their portal already. Can check balance but not reload at the moment.

exentric_nova, you're missing the point here; what really matters is that the consumer gets the high bandwidth of speed and quality. All these "4G" hype are nothing but marketing buzzwords thrown around by Telcos to window-dress and prep up their new services. Just IMO.

If you can remember not to long ago, izzi.net ( the folks from Penang ) were already trumpeting "4G" with their proprietary Kyocera solution.

For that matter, there is really no official definition of whats "3G" either. The proper term as accepted by ITU and GSMA/3GPP would be "W-CDMA" or "UMTS", as compared to  (Qualcomm's) IS-95, CDMA2000 and its EV-DO revisions, etc etc  and other similar standards.

But in any case, if debates on whats 4G or whats not makes you happy, by all means, please carry on. I sometimes do enjoy a good bowl of alphabet soup as well. But at the end of the day, I'd go for the real "Mbps" over anything, any day.

coverage.yes.my.

I'll probably be heading back to Lot 10 later, I need a way to check my balance, the online portal is busted, can't login through the YES IS tab to check my account details. Calling them on 03-83130000 to check balance, had me being told by the automated messaging that my balance is ZERO. WTF!

All other voip provider provide free calling for each other.. Only YES do charge their user for on-the-net (VOIP) calling.

this is call marketing strategy... ask a IT savvy person like me and i'll tell u the true story.

go wired broadband, if got maxis wired go for it it's the best so far. Then streamyx 2nd.

P1 so far ok, depends on area.

the other 3G wireless for normal surfing dont expect extra.
