if you use 3GB, the rebate is RM23, after the rebate the rate is about the same as other operators. obviously the service is not for heavy downloaders.
with that in mind, i hope their network will not be congested like any other operators after quite sometime rclxms.gif

right now i need to know average speed from users before i can decide to sign up or not.
*
speedtest at lot 10 with quite a lot of crowd was 8.8mbps download, 9mbps upload. areas nearer towers/stations or strong signals can get up to 11mbps download.

only u use it. Wait another 3 months...then we'll know better
*
but looking at the prices, it's not suitable for heavy downloaders. so i don't think that many ppl will be using it at the same time.

To the user, mine telling me how do you connect? Just wanna get the picture.

Connect USB after that? Use their dialer? where to put username & password? in their dialer or there will be homepage to login like hotspot?
*
there's a dialer, like digi internet, except this 1 just put in the username and password there, no need to go to homepage n login.

i just got my dongle, and would like some guide on the installation process, already plugged in the dongle and seems like the 'install' batch file not working. double-clicked and nothg happens. same goes to other icons. tried on 3 PCs with vista and xp sad.gif

success users pls advice..thnks
*
it should just autorun and pop up the installation process instead of having to double click the files. tried it on 7? or maybe u have a faulty dongle.

btw this is my speedtest with 2 bar signal

user posted image

if you're near a base station and have full bar, it's very easy to get 11mbps. i'm near a base station, but only got 2 bars cause got some blockage in my house, my window isn't really facing the base station either so that's what i get.

Any idea how to know whether you are near a base station or not, even before you subscribe? Want to see how strong is the signal first b4 deciding whether to subscribe or not..
*
erm.. look around the buildings near you n see if there are any antennas? then go ask the building owner if it's YTL's? lol other than that, probably have to refer to the coverage map thingy.

i see..so i guess mine is faulty..zzzz

emailed their tech support this morning no reply yet..called their tech support from morning nvr answers me yet...
cry.gif  its either they have too many customers having problems or not hiring enough tech support... cry.gif  vmad.gif
*
a lot of customers would be emailing them since the launch so i guess they are kinda slow to respond to everyone. maybe u can go n try it on a windows 7 if u have 1, or ur friend's?

yup..done that, removed all the other connection manager also. maybe the dongle corrupted or something.  rclxub.gif

after few minutes.

I think their service is not stable.

your area? not necessarily depend on bar also, depends on whether ur near the base station n got any blockages or not.

Yup. That's RM210 worth of topup if you're using it purely on data. Looks like I can start splurging on my downloads now without worry. Until December 19th that is. tongue.gif
*
10GB also quite fast to finish with these speeds tongue.gif

anyway, got review write up here about drive test with the huddle

QUOTE(firett @ Nov 27 2010, 11:03 AM)
can somebody pls enlighten me......
i'm a tech noob........just want to enquire roughly how much data we could be using, if
let's say my children are playing online games like DOTA, MFO, etc
from 8am to 10pm daily, while myself watching online TV/movies i.e
PPS, Xunlei, PPtv, youtube, etc
so, what would be the rough estimate of my data usage in a month?
heard that YES speed is incredible.......however, afraid at the end of the month (or the billing date) the amount is MUCH MORE INCREDIBLE!!, so anyone out there who could roughly tell me
what would my data usage be?
thks in advance
*
erm if u watch everyday, i'm sure your bill would be very high. online game doesn't take up much data. but it's the streaming movies that takes up a lot.

QUOTE(cy97 @ Nov 27 2010, 11:06 AM)
For one 5 minutes YouTube clip would be about 40 mb which cost Rm 3.60. I better spend this money at mamah stall some more got free wifi!
*
free wifi not fast, maybe some ppl hates waiting for streaming and don't mind paying say RM30 per month if they don't stream that often.

If you fully use it, it would cost you easily thousands per month. Thanks to the high speed!

Added on November 27, 2010, 11:19 am
How often is not so often? Research carried out recently people spend easily 1 hour per day online . Say watch YouTube for half an hour a day , to me is not so much just watch a few clips that would already cost you RM 10/day. A month would easily RM 300.00
*
not so often like 5-10 mins a day, not everyday tongue.gif
