Question guys, the default modem-router provided by TM is DIR 615 right? is it wireless only or does it support cable connections? I need at least 3 CAT5 connections at home. don't like to use wireless for PC.

3 cables are supported. 1 used up for IPTV. No worries if you still want more cable connection u can opt for a switch. Switch now is very cheap. rclxms.gif

They just use the old phone line that you are already using for Streamyx. However they had to make some changes in the condo building's main switchboard (dunno what they changed). You will get a new phone number.

it use back ya old phone socket in ya condo and the moment they change it to unifi. your streamyx will be dead. i just did that couples of hrs ago and i am able to get 560kbps download speed with VIP5.

will need to go TM point do the streamyx and old phone number termination and upgrade it to VIP10 or VIP20.

Unifi 20Mbps installation done. IPTV not done as I wanted the new modem to be installed in my home office where my router (did not want to use TM's router) and switch were located, while I would want to watch TV in the living room or bed room, and not in the home office.

Secured the TM router using the advice given here.
Reconfigured the TM router to be a VLAN bridge (as per instruction in the above link), and am now using my router instead.

Did a few speed tests, see results below.
